Suspected drunk passes out at voting location

Most people think early voting and early drinking don't mix.

"I believe you should be sober when you vote," said early voter Davin Poulin.

Police say a 45-year-old woman was anything but sober when she walked into an early voting location in Bernalillo County last Friday at 10 in the morning.

According to a police report, election officials say the woman became "unexpectedly agitated and began to scream and yell."

That's when they put the woman in a separate room to "avoid further agitation."

"The poll workers here acted very swiftly and called the proper authorities," said Bernalillo County spokesperson Liz Hamm.

Police found the woman inside the room passed out. When she woke up, she told police that she had "a brain tumor and could not stand or sit up."

That's when police noticed the bottle of vodka in her waistband.

I bet if we saw the DU version of this story, you'd never link them.  It would all be about how she tried to go to vote, but the police kept looking at her while she was filling out her ballot, and when they saw she marked Obama, they arrested her and tore her ballot up.
