Blustery Tuesday
« on: October 21, 2008, 05:55:34 AM »
Morning everyone! I'm taking advantage of the time difference and beating asdf to the punch.  :evillaugh:

It's a blustery, typical fall day here in the battleground state of OH. Supposed to be markedly cooler(again) by tomorrow. I have already walked this morning and it was cool and windy. Very nice walking weather with the trees bustling about. I really love the fall, it was one of the reasons I chose to move here since I remembered it growing up in my earlier years in Maryland. Remind me that I said that by the time January gets here...mmmkay? :-)

I have more schoolwork today, but am going to break to take step once the kids are at school and I think I might take the little one down to the 'big hill' park before preschool. It should be beautiful this time of year and like I said, the day is perfect for it. On that note, I took the kids to the zoo on Friday. I recommend it when it is just cool out, but not cold yet. The animals were out frolicking about and having a good time. I never see them that active in the summer.

Well, back to my McD's coffee and a bit of schoolwork. Have a good one, peeps!

I'm just messing around today; no motor vehicle, although I guess I can go get it any time.  I had a tie-rod replaced, and the serpentine belt.

The weather here in the Sandhills of Nebraska is grey, cool, and rainy; not everybody's favorite sort of weather, but I rather enjoy it, and it's supposed to last for several days.

Man it's cold.  32 degrees this morning with a high in the mid 50's today.

Painting today with a little bit of silence. (Everybody is finally back at work/school today thank God)

Cool again today, which translates into freezing tonight at football!  But the PeeWee Broncos came in first place for the season in our league!  There is a championship "bowl" game on Sunday between us and the 2nd place team, being played on the High School field, so my guy is totally excited.   And then after that are the inter-league playoffs.

Heading to the grocery store in a bit, and other than that, nothing too exciting going on.

Fresh but sunny here, I am at home waiting for a plumber to come and fix the boiler so I have to be inside. Still I have the kitchen door open enjoying the last of the year's sun! It is days like this that I remember how bad daytime TV is, so I may just have the radio on in the background instead.

Took the car to the dealership at 7:30 am.  Stereo was diagnosed as defective, so its being replaced.  I just hope I can get my warranty to cover it, because I am most certainly not paying for it out of pocket.   :hammer:

Going in to work later to get some extra hours in, then I get two days off.  :)

The weather's been nice here.  It was very chilly this morning, and I actually turned on my car heater.   :hyper:

Morning all.

Wife hurts like hell at the moment (some physical, some other than physical).  She's at home, and the boy is at school.

I'm at work, because if I don't keep something "normal" around me, I'll hurt too.

S'posed to be mixed rain and snow tonight; our first snowfall of the season.

Hi DS.  I didn't reply to your thread, but I am thinking of you all at this time.

I just made it into work.  I'm doing a little of this and a little of that.

I made chili last night for the first time.  My first lesson, I should always buy ground beef instead of having to cut the beef into bite sized pieces.

I'll be stopping by a friend's house this evening on my way home from work.  I have a bumper sticker for him and I forgot to bring it over on Saturday.

Oh and it's sunny and 72 outside.

Isaiah 43:2

Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke [is] easy, and my burden is light.

Matthew 11:28-30

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 14:27

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to [give] the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. [We are] troubled on every side, yet not distressed; [we are] perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

But South Texas is nasty in the summer, too humid.  Now, DFW is much better, not nearly as humid.  And a nice sunny and 78 right now.  Tomorrow a "cold" front is coming through, it's only getting up to 69...I'll need to bring a sweater with me.   :-)
