I fully plan on supporting the incumbent president in 2012 for re-election, despite his "age."

2012? No question about it, Sarah Palin. I am damned tired of RINO's like Bush and McCain.

And while I am not a christian I would whole heartedly vote for Sarah.

it's a little ironic that a lot of conservatives are supporting mccain mostly because they want to vote for Sarah Palin in 4 years.  I admit, I am one of them.

minnesota is beside the point, IMO.

Pawlenty is a RINO. I was less than impressed after he became Governor of MN. I DID vote for him, but only because he was the lesser of two evils.

Michael Steele or Sarah Palin.
Steele has impressed me for a while.  Whenever his is on, I watch him.  He always says the right things and thinks exactly as I do.
Sarah because, well she scares the hell out of liberals...and she's been pivotal in bring conservatives back and hopefully changes the direction of the republican party back to conservatism.

I'd love to see both on a ticket.

I said Palin, but I'd love to see JC Watts as her running mate.  Won't happen, though.  So, I'd go with Jindal as her running mate.

There's rumors in NY that Rudy Giuliani will run for Governor in 2010.  I would vote for him, even though I am at a polar opposite with his 2nd Amendment views.

I am going with Sarah.

and I will open this poll up to other suggestions . . . . even if mccain wins, I hope he doesn't run for re-election, by the way.

Agree with you totally, Wretch. She's the reason he's still in the race.

I included him because he impresses me.  I have a great deal of respect for him, and have met him personally.  were you
implying a racial (which is different that a "racist") thing?  hmmm.  probably not.  if I was being a slave to racialism, I would
have included JC watts.

Michael Steele was in St Louis, helping get out the volunteers. He spoke to the volunteers first, then they were to get busy making phone calls. I really wanted to go, but couldn't get off work. I really think he's a very bright, articulate man and would support him.

Saw JC Watts in St Louis at a rally some time ago for then Senator Jim Talent. He impressed me at the time, but his statement that he'd support Obama didn't impress me all that much. Has anyone heard if he's changed his view on that?

Sarah, definitely!!!

I too, have been really impressed by Michael Steele. He doesn't add a lot of BS and cuts right to the point. And seems to have little tolerance for fools.

Steele I really don't know anything about, but Jindal or Palin would be great.  So would Condoleeza Rice.
