Friday has arrived
« on: October 17, 2008, 06:53:44 AM »
Brrr...very chilly morning here in the central OH. Definitely a fall day.  :cheersmate: Gotta get the other half to finish cleaning the furnace cause it look like we'll be flipping that puppy on in the next week.

My kids get today and Monday off and I figure with the lower gas prices and cooler weather, it's a fine day to get some money worth on those yearly zoo passes so once all the sleepyheads wake up, we'll start getting ready for that.
Nothing else on the docket except chores and assundered other home like things.

The zoo huh? I have yearly passes too that sounds like a good idea for tomorrow! Speaking of furnaces...I have to remove one from my house today when I get home :banghead: Should be really fun this furnace is about 50 years old and is huge...thinking about scrapping it out for a few extra bucks! :-)

Yeah, we have passes too so I this trip will actually pay for them. Anything from here on out is freebie city! Good time too since gas is lower(we have to drive across town to get to the zoo so that always had to be considered). Kids always love it there and I figure even if the animals are hiding out because it's cool, it's still always a nice walk around Jack Hannah's playground.  :-)

Good luck with the furnace. Someone's going to be all on his own finishing up since I've got assignments due in my labor relations class and now we are on teams I'm alittle more restricted as to when I can get them done :thatsright:

Heading out in a little bit for a weekend for a resort hotel in Egg Harbor up on the door county peninsula for the weekend.  Pretty trees, smoked fish, cheese and apples. We booked a lofted two bedroom suite so hopefully the kids will have some room to spread out and be kids.

I personally will be spending as much time as possible in the indoor pool with a book and a coffee cup. :)

Mrs. Tantal is wearing me out to get her a new Corgi. I'll probably be riding the bike to a breeder about 50 miles outside of Ft. Worth to look at her stock. She's got a new litter that should hit the ground within a week, so a pup would be available for pick-up by Christmas Eve.

I think this weekend I will just veg and watch movies. Netflix sent me Iron Man, Leatherheads, and Run, Fatboy, Run. Maybe I'll order a pizza tonight.

Today started off well, then I sliced open my finger on a staple. Ouch!

No plans for happy hour today.   :bawl:  I'm thinking I'll go home and take bubble bath and relax this evening.

Tomorrow I have school all day, it's a lab class.  I'm not looking to that too much, hopefully it won't actually take all day.

I'll sell you one of ours...no wait, I'll GIVE you one of ours.

Actually the pup is going to his first herding trial tomorrow.  He's all excited.
No thanks. When people offer up a free pet, there's usually a reason they're getting rid of it. We found this out the hard way with a very loveable cat with bladder-control issues. :-)

Good luck on the herding. Ours will only be herding kids and cats.

Trust me, I don't particulalry want to go, but my boys do, and I won't let them go unattended (I won't even let my older boy go unattended yet).  Mr Flame offered to ttake them and let me stay home, but that's not fair to him since I'm the football fanatic to begin with, so we'll all go.   My daughter was planning to go with friends already.

I'm GLAD that I'm back in Texas instead of "Up Nort". A wonderful, sunny 77 degrees here today.   :-)

I fished Lake Konawa from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. today. I am wiped out.
