the morning joe program ran this gaffe opposite of one where Sarah Palin referred to being "in the great northwest", when she was in new hampshire.  of course, I never saw a single mention of The BarackStar! and his seven extra states.  ever.

Considering that her state crosses the international date line, and is therefore the farthest east of any state in America, it's understandable why she'd refer to the northern portion of America's Right Coast as being the Northwest.

What's odd is that the media literally crucified Dan Quayle over his misspelling of "Potato" and they're suspiciously mute about the gaffes of either DEM.
