Well as a voter who was first against McCain (when he won the primary) then for him, especially after he picked Palin, then against him after he voted for the Bailout...
in the end...
I will
vote
for
McCain.

I like him tonight.  I liked what he said about the spending freeze and about being pro-life and suggesting adoption. In addition, tonight brought out the fool in Obama even more.  So for this voter, he earned it tonight.

Signed,
the Flipflopper... :shucks:

Yes do YOU??

No, I think he didn't do a good enough job. We have to pray that the market shoots up and Russia makes threatening moves or we'll be facing a total disaster for the next two years.

I thought these focus groups are supposed to be undecided voters, but some of them are spewing Obama's talking points.

I was having the same thought.  I seriously doubt whether some, especially the lady in front were really "undecided".

McCain started out ok, and I loved the way he finally brought up Ayers and ACORN.

I also liked him telling Obama that he isn't Bush.

But over all, I'd call this debate another draw.

McCain by a mile.  Of course the MSM got their reviews as we all saw on Drudge.

But Barry was never able to repudiate the whole Joe the Plumber thing and I hope that sticks with people.

Barry claims to have offsetting cuts for his trillion in new spending but it'll take at least a hatchet and more likely a chainsaw to do that.  A scalpel aint gonna get it.  I wish McC had brought up what our governor and HUGE Barry fan Timbo Kaine is doing here which is across the boards cuts and no to additional new taxes.  That would have stung.

God please speak to Americans and make them see who is selling the snake oil.
My fellow Americans, there is nothing audacious about hope. Hope is what makes people buy lottery tickets instead of paying the bills. Hope is for the old gals feeding the slots in Atlantic City. It destroys the inner-city kid who quits school because he hopes he'll be a world-famous recording artist.

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and Barack Obama?

One is a well turned-out, good-looking, and let's be honest, pretty sexy piece of eye-candy.

The other kills her own food.

Exactly.  The trouble is that McCain not only has to fight Obama's issues, he has to fight Obama's charisma...which he unfortunately has in abundance.

If McCain can show a 3-point bump in as many days among the more rational polls (sorry NYT) then there is hope.

Unlike McCain's last non-performances I think he has even odds of realizing that bump.

We should know within the next 48-72 hours, if there is any bump.
