"When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion - when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you - when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - you may know that your society is doomed."

OBAMA CAMPAIGN ISSUES TALKING POINTS TO MEDIA AHEAD OF DEBATE

The Obama campaign issued a set of debate 'talking points' to media on Wednesday morning, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.

Press Secretary Sean Smith issued the directive in an email from Pennsylvania, 12 hours before the debate.

The memo oddly mirrors much of the main press analysis and theme of the current campaign:

Interesting trivia about that scene...

That movie was originally scheduled for its first test screening on November 22nd, 1963--the day Kennedy was assasinated.  That pushed back the release date from December to January 1964.  And if you look at that scene where Slim Pickens says, "Shoot, a fella' could have a pretty good weekend in Vegas with all that stuff," the original city referenced was Dallas.  Kubrick dubbed the word "Vegas" over the original scene but never reshot it.  If you look at Pickens lips, he definitely says Dallas.

The magic (two drink) word from Obama is, "sacrifice".  (two sips of beer)

The magic (two drink) word(s) from McCain is, "my friends".

Uh's and um's are worth one sip each.

The first CCer to point out an Obama lie can order a fellow drinker to chug for 4 seconds.

Good stuff there. It's nice to learn something every day, so thanks for that Sparky. And we sure as Hell are not about to learn a damn thing watching this debate so kudos and H5.  :-)

On edit- I have at least 45 minutes to stock up.

I want McC to have Barry explain that not ALL those "working families" will see all those tax breaks, that some will see nothing.

I want him to quantify exactly how much of those tax breaks are earned income tax credits going to non-income tax payers.

I want him to have Barry explain this and explain exaactly where those 100,000 families that will see nothing are:

(hint: earned income tax credits ?  but I don't believe there are that many deadbeats unkless you count illegals)

I want him to make Barry admit he was lying through his teeth about Ayers.

I want him to walk over to Obama the first time he mentions "Bush's failed policies" and ask him if he is aware that Bush is not running.

And I want him to make Barry explain why he voted over and over to kill partially born babies AND thsoe poor souls who managed to escape their parent's attempt to kill them with botched abortions.

Then I want him to have Barry explain why on earth its OK to run up the tab with China for this trillion in new spending when it was a "failed Bush policy" to spend like a drunken sailor.

Then I want him to look at the camera and ask America if it's possible that every respected economist in America is wrong when they say that increasing taxes and increasing government spending in an economic downturn is a disaster of major proportion.

And if Old Bob starts acting up, I want McC to smack the crap out of him like he should have smacked the crap out of Brokaw.

My fellow Americans, there is nothing audacious about hope. Hope is what makes people buy lottery tickets instead of paying the bills. Hope is for the old gals feeding the slots in Atlantic City. It destroys the inner-city kid who quits school because he hopes he'll be a world-famous recording artist.

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and Barack Obama?

One is a well turned-out, good-looking, and let's be honest, pretty sexy piece of eye-candy.

The other kills her own food.

well, good first answer - he needs to take it to Obama, regardless of what Obama campaign has leaked as what they 'fear' McCain will do.

Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

Yeah, he was not supposed to let that number start creeping down until after he won. (oops)

He won't.  He's too afraid of alienating voters--even stupid ones.

What an ass--I know people who sell stuff on E-Bay who make more than 250K.  Does Obama really realize how small a business has to be in order to make under that?
