RNC out of Wisconsin, Maine; focuses on red states
« on: October 15, 2008, 03:42:30 PM »

we're getting outflanked on a galactic scale.  obama is running so many (negative) ads in virginia --
I read some place that the ratio is something like 1,300 : 8 -- that the RNC and the mccain campaign
are going to have to spend heavily to remain competitive.

THIS is what all of that "small donor" ( :whatever:) money does;  to the extent that he wants to, he
OWNS the airwaves in VA, CO, FL, NM, & etc.

wisconsin was only a dem state because of criminal conduct in 2004 . . . I wouldn't have bailed out unless
there was a gun to my head.

RNC out of Wisconsin, Maine; focuses on red states

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Republican National Committee is halting presidential ads in Wisconsin and Maine, turning its attention primarily to usually Republican states where GOP nominee John McCain shows signs of faltering.

The party's independent ad operation is doubling its budget to about $10 million and focusing on crucial states such as Colorado, Missouri, Indiana and Virginia where Democrat Barack Obama has established a foothold, according a Republican strategist familiar with presidential ad placements.

Florida and North Carolina have also been in the RNC ad mix, but Pennsylvania is the only Democratic leaning swing state apparently left in the party's ad campaign.

The shift in advertising resources suggests that the RNC has decided to focus on defending reliably Republican-voting states against Obama's onslaught of advertising. Flush with money, Obama is outspending the joint efforts of the Republican Party and the McCain campaign by more than 2-1.

While a pullout from Wisconsin is a significant strategic move, it does not represent a full GOP retreat from the state. McCain's campaign has notified Wisconsin stations that it planned to continue to buy air time through Oct. 26.

Yeah, all of that "small donor" money, obtained by fraudulent charges on people's credit cards......

Okay, so lemme get this straight:

--Obama has to spend MILLIONS on what's basically a half-hour infomercial the week before the election?
--He's ahead in all 50 states (if you believe the polls/MSM) and yet he has to outspend McCain 2-1 in Virginia?
--He STILL refuses to list ALL of his donors?

Hookay, people--something tells me that the internal polling done by the Obamessiah is showing things he doesn't like very much.

Next stop--Sham-WOW commercials.  I wonder what Barroid would look like wearing that stupid-assed headphone/mic set while peddling towels.

There's SO much wrong with this election...ACORN, O's lack of record, specious associations, illegal donations and yet he just seems to keep picking up steam. I feel like I'm watching the slow motion train wreck of my country. I can't believe my precious, patriotic son will have to salute a CinC who accused his fellow soldiers and Marines of air raiding villages and killing civilians. It's going to be Haditha redux times 20 for the next four years. Well, at least I won't forget what my knees are for.

it may all come down to VA.  he can lose FL and OH, and if he wins VA, it's basically all over.  that tax ad he is running is very effective, and he is running the shit out of it in VA.  it's a brazen lie, but it is moving votes.
