  • Yes, everything you heard about me is true
The hypocrisy by this columnist is astounding. When we point to the vicious vile things said at Daily Kos or DU they claim its just a few hot heads exercising their freedom of speech and they never denounce them. I saw a pic on Fox this morning of a guy at an Obama rally wearing a shirt saying "SARAH PALIN IS A ****" and not a word was said to him (Sorry about the language). They blurred out the last word but got the point across as to what it said. Typical vile disgusting and hypocritical behavior by the left. It just astonishes me how they dont see in themselves what they accuse others of.

Ignorant Republicans embarrass McCain, their party

By Yael T. Abouhalkah, Kansas City Star Editorial Page columnist

Angry Republicans are making ignorant remarks about Barack Obama at campaign rallies, forcing John McCain to defend his opponent. What a sad time for the GOP.

Remember, millions of Americans remain undecided as the presidential race enters its final three weeks.

These voters are watching to see how the candidates conduct themselves -- and who is supporting them.

In the case of McCain and running mate Sarah Palin, there have been embarrassing reports of outlandish comments being hurled around at the rallies.

For instance, one woman told McCain last week that she didn't trust Obama: "I have read about him and he's an Arab."

To his credit, McCain replied, "No ma'am, no ma'am. He's a decent family man ... that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues."

Over the weekend, Palin stoked a GOP rally in Ohio with these words:

"Help me, Ohio, to help put John McCain in the White House.... We understand how important it is that this team be elected. For one thing, we know who the bad guys are, OK?”

Reporters noted Palin's remarks elicited shouts of "Obama" from some in the crowd.

Later, Palin's clean-up crew said she had been talking about terrorist nations, not Obama. So why not just say that?

Because Palin is the kind of candidate who wanted to leave the impression with her supporters that she was talking about Obama and his backers.

I recall the DUmp thread about infiltrating McCain rallies wearing KKK robes, maybe they have decided on a more subtle approach?

Well considering that they think all conservatives are knuckle dragging slack jawed hicks they would not think 'subtle' to be necessary. But let them think that it makes it easier for us to spot them. And yes, I had thought these incidents could easily be agents provocateur by the left. And considering their 'the ends always justify the means' mentality I wouldnt put it past them.

The article reads no differently than a typical post at the DUmp.

I found another site that had a picture of the t-shirt posted and read the stupid comments.  Apparently it has been around LONG before the angry republicans made the supposed "ignorant comments" and before Palin or McCain started turning up the heat on Obama.

It is posted September 10th.

They had a PUMA on discussing that its just an escalated version of what they did to Hillary during the primaries with the 'bros before hos' T-shirts. They discussed the ratcheting of rhetoric by both McCain and Obama supporters and the PUMA had something interesting to say - that getting 'overzealous' supporters into a campaign is a DNC tactic to help shape the tone of the opposing party's rally. I got the impression she was part of the Hillary campaign, but I don't remember what her name was.

I guess the DU 'get a couple of KKK robe wearing folks into a McCain rally' isn't too far from the truth.

Conservative women tend to look a lot better than liberal ones, thank God. But the left still has the market on hate, how would that asshat "journalist" know what embarrases Republicans, astroturfing exposed doesn't seem to bother liberals like him.

Sadly, McCainez is a wimp or a sell out, it doesn't really matter which.  If McCainez had a set he would be a leader, instead he is a ghostly milquetoast panderer who would rather appeal to Democratics than to his own party.  In the absence of leadership people are going to speak out.

Juan needs to decide if he wants to President of the United States pretty ASAP and either step up or step aside.

I still can't believe this idiot got to the top of the Republican ticket.

Well, I guess it was just the year for it, as idiots got to the top of both tickets.  Must be the work of either Darwin or the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Hey... at least the "bros before hos" shirt had some redeeming humor to it...

Those who see their lives as spoiled and wasted crave equality and fraternity more than they do freedom. If they clamor for freedom, it is but freedom to establish equality and uniformity. The passion for equality is partly a passion for anonymity: to be one thread of the many which make up a tunic; one thread not distinguishable from the others. No one can then point us out, measure us against others and expose our inferiority.
-Eric Hoffer, "The True Believer", 1951
