WASHINGTON - A federal grand jury in Tennessee has indicted a man in connection with the hacking of the e-mail account of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

Federal officials say that 20-year-old David Kernell of Knoxville, Tenn., was indicted by a federal grand jury in Knoxville for intentionally accessing without authorization the e-mail account of Palin, Alaska's governor.

Kernell has turned himself in to authorities and is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday before a magistrate.

Kernell faces a maximum of five years in prison, a $250,000 fine and a three-year term of supervised release.

exactly.  I made that same point in another thread, but in a slightly different way.  ACORN, the OH SoS, et.al. are "justified" in doing whatever they have to do to steal an election to make up for that stolen election.  there is almost no other explanation for the sheer brazenness of what is happening out there.  they aren't even trying to be covert about it.

Hey, if all this bad-for-Obama stuff lands all at once, Im not going to complain. I would have been happier if this was a couple weeks back, but Ill take it.

Even if he does still win, it become ammo to push for Chimpeachment - though I suspect well have to come up with another word, as that is obviously racist.

they think that the feds can't prove that it was actually him that was at his computer and did

Son of Tenn. Democrat indicted in Palin hacking

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The son of a Democratic Tennessee state lawmaker pleaded not guilty Wednesday to hacking the e-mail account of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

David Kernell, 20, of Knoxville, Tenn. entered the plea in federal court in Knoxville, the same day prosecutors unsealed an indictment charging him with intentionally accessing Palin's e-mail account without authorization.

Kernell, an economics student at the University of Tennessee, was brought into court wearing handcuffs and shackles on his ankles.

He was released without posting bond, but the court limited his computer use to checking his own e-mail and doing class work.

Kernell's father is longtime state Rep. Mike Kernell of Memphis, chairman of Tennessee's House Government Operations Committee. The lawmaker has said he had nothing to do with the hacking incident.

Accused Palin hacker has a history of intrusion

The college student charged with illegally accessing Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's e-mail has been accused of computer intrusion before, although last time he faced only an afternoon detention.

David Kernell allegedly broke into a school server about eight years ago while studying at Eastern Hills Middle School in Harker Heights, Texas, one of his former teachers said Wednesday.

According to Kernell's former history teacher, Tracey McDaniels, this isn't the first time the student has been accused of using clever guesswork to get into a computer.

The other incident allegedly occurred around 2000, when Kernell was in the seventh grade. Kernell and an accomplice guessed the password to a server used to store teaching materials at the school and were able to log on to the system, McDaniels said.

The two junior hackers "fessed up pretty quickly" after McDaniels found a classroom computer connected to the server and then simply asked the class who had done it, he said.

The only value it has is to add to the narrative that Democrats feel no compunction to breaking the law when it comes to furthering their  political agenda. That even the young of the moonbat brood will do what is necessary to secure victory for their messiah.
