I just ain't big on seafood -- or bayou food either, for that matter.

Man, you ain't right. If I ever came to the point where I became allergic to seafood, just pull the plug on me.

I love seafood, too.  Ditch food, not so much.  :uhsure:

All crawfish raised for restaurants are raised in the same manner catfish are... on a FARM!

No one takes crawfish from ditches anymore.   :whatever:

Controversy over!  The Crawdaddy Queen has spoken.  :hammer:

Hush you!  :hammer:

Undies, have you ever been to Gaido's in Galveston?

The last time was in September 1981.  I found a baby roach in my water glass.  I got up and walked out.

Yes.  Really.  I walked out and left my party, who didn't seem to mind the baby roach in my water glass.

We were staying at the La Quinta w-a-y down on the east end.  I walked the seawall all the back to the motel.

Whoa.

A "guest" has been reading this 4-year-old thread; probably a crawler or bot or something.

But it's a good time as any to resurrect it, I suppose.

I'm still where I was four years ago.

By the way, ignore "chris_" on this thread, as it isn't really chris_; this thread remains unfixed from that time chris_ messed up conservativecave, showing himself being the sole poster here.  I disremember how long ago that was; maybe a little less than a year, and it was on a Saturday morning, freaking people out.

No worries; I wouldn't even bother with it if I were you, sir.

You've lived in some of the most interesting places.....all over the country.

I was born in Shreveport, Louisiana...lived there until just before I turned 14.  My mom and I moved to Duluth, Georgia, where I started HS.

Now, I reside in  Savannah, Georgia, working on my bachelor's in radiologic sciences. :)

At Armstrong?  My nephew graduated from there.  He and his wife teach in somewhere near Pooler.

We first lived in Clinton but later moved with in Jackson City Limits.  I lived in an apartment in Brandon for about year before I moved to Nashville.

Except for college, service and  military school, most of my life has been spent in Rockland County, NY about 40 miles north of NYC. Roughly 48 years. Its ok but I miss the Blue Ridge Mountains.

If I just count the places where I have received mail, I've had well over 100 addresses.  But, I wouldn't say I lived in each of those places.  My work, for years, required frequent travel.  Born in Detroit, settled in Wyoming for most of 29 years.

I'm from the land of Tabasco, James Lee Burke, crawfish and sugar.

And I beg someone's pardon.  This Cajun doesn't eat just about anything.  I wouldn't dream of eating my cat.    :rotf:

Moved around for a few years and now back in Louisiana only it's the north with all these fake wannabe Cajuns.  They talk funny.    :lmao:

Last grade I went in Clinton was the 9th and Summer Middle school.  The one grade school.  Small world...

And yes Jackson is a shit hole to put it mildly. Everyone has pretty moved more and more north or south.  Madison is the happening area right now.
