Do not talk about crawfish in front of me, dammit... can't get anything good here in Georgia.
Sure you can...come summer there are wonderful peaches (just ask Rebel...
) and vidalia onions.
I was referring to the crawfish. I am a Louisiana native, and am disappointed at the lack of crawfish. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Georgia-grown peaches (I have a great recipe for a peach pie, and I also get called one quite a bit... LOL).
You can't get crawfish in Savannah? I don't know, I don't eat 'em.
...snip....
Sam's got the right idea.
That's what happens when you are afraid to try new foods (or weren't born in Louisiana
) They aren't that much different from shrimp, so if you like shrimp, you've no excuse to avoid crawfish (well, at least the tail part of the crawfish).
I appreciate your passion for "mudbugs", but since I am neither from Louisiana nor do I care for shrimp, green shit or not, this is an unequivocal:
NO GO.
You can have whatever portion was allocated to me.
At my age, I adopt the George Carlin Method of Eating Different Foods:
"If I have to ask questions, **** it. I ain't eatin' it."
