Keep reminding people about The Weathermen...
If they want to remind people about a time in this country when people did more than vote with their remote, then fine...

4. I was thinking the same thing...is this really where they want to go?
I cringed at first when I hear the Weather Underground (not "The Weathermen", btw) brought up. Until they start explaining that they were anti-war protesters fed up with the the lies regarding the Viet Nam war. I wonder how many people actually resonate with that instead of being repulsed? I mean, I'm not advocating violence. But there is a time and place for everything. Ayers turned out to be a respectable educator and advocate. Without being hunted down and smoked out, like W would have us believe is the only way to deal with "terrorists." Gosh, imagine that...when the United States stopped it's criminal activity in Viet Nam, Ayers went out an got a real job and "terrorism" behind. Imagine that. Imagine that.
MAN ALIVE! All we need to do is get Osama a TEACHING job some place and he will see the error of his ways!  :thatsright:

6. the weathermen were right about the vietnam war
so maybe we should not consider maccain as a war hero, but a war criminal.

well, the republicans want to get tough. the voters should get tough on them also.

8. those were indeed tough times
and the fight was long and hard. I remember going to one meeting and leaving with great sadness after learning the philosophy. Unless you were there, it's impossible to comprehend how surrounded by death we all were, brothers, lovers, friends. We were bombing rice farmers to protect ameriKa from communism, and governors were using our own national guard against us. Ohio state was a turning point. The Weathermen were radicals, but it really was a radical time. It was back then "they" realized the revolution must never be televised.
Yeah the protests REALLY dropped off there after that.  Wonder why?

10. I didn't know anything about them until last summer...
I rented a bunch of anti-war documentaries, and The Weathermen was something that popped up in the search. I'm sure I must be pegged as one of them now that I've Netflixed the DVD

What they did went too far... it's like killing doctors and bombing abortion clinics because you oppose abortion. What they did was as bad as the war they were protesting; it makes no sense to me. I understand the frustration and the passion though.

I've sat on committees... a lot of committees... and I've never once inquired as to the background of my fellow committee members. I just don't get why this is a big deal. Wait... it's not.

We shouldn't be doing McCain's dirty work.

If you want to repeat something, try "Keating! Keating! Keating!!!"

Pedro Picasso is just being stupid, as usual.

The guy's so infantile.

Milo Yiannopoulos "It has been obvious since 2016 that Trump carries an anointing of some kind. My American friends, are you so blind to reason, and deaf to Heaven? Can he do all this, and cannot get a crown? This man is your King. Coronate him, and watch every devil shriek, and every demon howl."
