poll: have you given any thoughts

If past trends hold true, Mr. Wiggum will be collecting nominations for the Top Ten DUmmies of 2008 in about six or eight weeks, describing the winners some time in December.

I know, I know, the election's still to come, and so there's ample opportunities for the primitives to screw up more than they have thus far, and so it's premature to draw up names right now.

But right now is a good time to start thinking about it; the stellar primitives of 2008.

I already have five primitives, even though it's way too early--but based upon close observation, if the primitives in general get really stupid, stupider than they are now, these five will still manage to top them all, no matter anything else including the Great Discombobulation, the election, and other rank stupidity likely to happen on Skins's island from now until then.

This by the way is posted without Mr. Wiggum's foreknowledge; if I misspoke, Mr. Wiggum can justifiably yell-and-scream at me.

But it's time to get started thinking.

No. - or not yet anyway.. I'm sure the coming election will shake a few more nuts loose from the tree, and then the fun will begin. I'd be willing to go on record and say that at least three of the top ten will earn their positions based on what they write over the next couple of months.

Miskie has a point on the election bringing the best to the fore, but I would have to say this year Pitt has not shown himself to be in the running.

I have no qualms about making fun of the subway cat.

10?  Top 10?  I can think of 50 and narrowing it down to 10 is going to be a chore as they continue to outdo themselves every single.  I do think Pitt is way, way down the list this year.  The boy just lost his mojo.

It's always a chore, winnowing circa 6,000 down to 10.

For whatever it's worth, and it's only my opinion, and others are of course free to disagree, but the Bostonian Drunkard hasn't even been on this radar all year long.

Talk about a precipitous decline and decay.

Could that be related to certain Fitzmas prognostications that failed to pan out?

Or is it more likely that he's trying to keep a low profile in order to keep others from looking up his sex offender registration?

I noticed a decline after his mom, the Raven primitive, had to come to his defense.  That was LOL funny and I do believe the boy was redfaced about it.

It seemed to me that played a part in the decline and decay of the Bostonian Drunkard, but the Bostonian Drunkard is incapable of being embarrassed about anything.

My heart still goes out for the carpetbagging maternal ancestress, the "Raven" primitive; the Bostonian Drunkard is all she's got, and no matter how worthless he is, she must defend him.

I suspect that privately, the carpetbagging maternal ancestress wishes she had been more fecund in her child-bearing days, as the more children one has, the more likely it is at least one of them will turn out a winner.

You are right. The alcoholic Pitt has faded away to irrelevance since Fitzmas. He rarely contributes anything but a weak copy/paste. He could be included in a "Whatever Happened To" list, along with banned and unbanned DUmmies like TIA, Bouncy Ball, Faye, and Walt Starr, and goodboy.

I think a top ten may be more difficult this year. Just weeding out the scores of excellent moles will be a task. Lots of star DUmmies haven't been so prominent, but there are dozens of DUmmies/moles who have made many, many outrageous posts.

With the proliferation of moles on Skins's island, some of us might inadvertently nominate a mole, rather than an authentic primitive.

Very very likely - I suspect it is likely that at least 2 of the nominated will be moles this year, None of us know who all the moles are.

I only ever knew for a certainty three moles this past year, but I have a "90% confidence" in a few dozen other possible moles.

Probably the biggest laughs I got this past summer was when Doug's ex-wife, the stupidest person on the whole entire internet, kissed ass of a mole.

I haven't thought about it, but now that I have it looks to be a tough call this year. Picking the top 10 DUmmies our of this years crop is like picking the blackest magic marker out of Sharpie Black marker three pack.
