Other:  Go on about my life knowing that I have more control over my own situation than DC.

I'll also be actively doing what I can to oppose everything that anti-American idiot proposes in an effort to keep him from doing more damage than he'd like to do.  Just like Carter and Clinton before him, he'll get frustrated and go off the deep end when he can't get his way.  That's when you put the screws to him.

There have been bad Democrat presidents before. If he wins itll be for one term.

a ) There is NO WAY he can make his promises happen with the current economic crunch.
b ) If he raises taxes on everyone to make his promises happen, the market will drop further.
c ) The unfortunate truth is Politics is a game of hot potato - Whoever has the ball loses.

If I were Obama, Id put Biden and other gaffe machines out on the trail on my behalf to lose it for me. That way I could bitch from the Senate for the next four years, and once McCain gets everything turned around, swoop in to win.

I will probably cry and complain about it on the boards.  But that is usually useless, so that won't last long.

I don't believe that the "red states" seceeding the Union is a good thing.  However, that being said, should my state choose to take it's dollies and dishes and leave the Washington DC tea party, I would have to say that my response would be reminiscent of Robert E. Lee's.

My family have been proud Americans since before this country was a country.  I will not ceases to be proud of what is good about this country just because a great evil has taken hold of it's "seat of power".

I'm already involved in the political process and working my ass off to keep the cockroaches of the Democrat Party on the ****in' sidelines.  (As an example, I'm precinct comittee chair, and will be walking the precinct this week with door hangers and an idiotic survey put together by the Party shills for this county.  I'll do my best not to offend my neighbors with the idiotic survey and encourage them to "vote early/vote often" for the McCain/Palin Ticket, Bob Schaefer as a good counter to the socialist Ken Salazar, and a bunch of really good local Republican office seekers.)  My term as precinct chairman doesn't end until March 2010, so I keep on keeping on...

As for 'OTHER', I refuse to answer and will assert my protections under the 5th amendment.  You may use whatever imagination you choose.

Other.  I'd be retiring in the next Presidential term either way, my oldest son will be out of the Army this Fall, and if Obama screws up hopelessly internationally, my youngest will be too young to enlist for a couple of years yet and so won't be jeopardized by it.  I will at last have the time to work on the homestead and prepare it against the contingency of social chaos, as well as pursuing an artistic side business (which currently come in behind the day job, the Reserves, and building renovations in priority) that's been idling in a holding pattern for quite awhile.

You wont get any of the "free" stuff from the government, you make too much money.  Only if you don't pay taxes will you receive any of the free stuff.

You know what scares me, is that Obama reminds me a lot of Adolf Hitler.

Young charismatic guy without experience is exploiting economic conditions to seize power in a country. (Not to mention both were able to mobilize large numbers of Germans for a political rally.) Both offered to vastly improve the lives of the people, and offered new government programs to make that happen. Both are blaming minorities for the countries problems. I hope Republicans aren't going to be forced to wear gold Rs when Obama is President.

I'll do nothing differant.  I'll keep on wearing this uniform, I'll keep on paying my taxes, I'll keep on living my life. 

Obama will not be the end of this country.  Sure, he'll damage the hell out of it, but we came out of a civil war that killed hundreds of thousands stronger then we went in.  We'll get through a 4 year presidency just fine.

We'll find some way to pay the bills and the higher taxes.  Maybe if the economy really does tank, judges will rescind their orders forcing parents to pay child support and college expenses for adult children.   ::)

Beyond that, I'm going to enjoy the distress of my coworkers when "change" is everything they don't want.  :-)

My biggest concern with the next president is for my oldest, who is going back in the Army as an officer after getting his Bachelors on the GI bill.  I will be much happier if his CIC is McCain.

If he wins, I will retire, so won't contribute anything further in taxes and keep our combined earnings down. It would probably cost more to work with the cost of gas (the dems like to keep it high so we will conserve gas "for the environment and for the children") and the confiscatory tax rates.
