Snow

Forecast for Sunday is 10" for Colorado high-country.  Get out the boots and coats. Dang I haven't even gone up to see the Aspens yet.

If you ever go, Guanella Pass, from highway 285 past Bailey, over the top to Georgetown on I-70, is a great trip.

I think you're storm is supposed to bring us down here in Phoenix some much cooler temps. I'm looking forward to opening my windows to enjoy the triumphant arrival of autumn.

I used to live in Farmington, NM, Lakewood, and Gillette, WY, when I was in high school (stable, huh?).

Made the trip from Farmington to Denver many, many times.  Still remember going over Wolf Creek, up through Leadville and Climax, then the nice little drive down I-70 through the tunnel and Idaho Springs.

And yeah, it's gonna be fun this year.  We're forecast for snow upstate this weekend, next weekend at the latest.  All we need is a few degrees cooler and we'll have some "down" here soon enough.

36 degrees this morning--it's not far off.

snow at the end of my street..of course the end of my street is a huge ass mountain range, but still..SNOW   :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
Rain at my house mixed with little ice balls.  The little bug had wanted to go on one more "field trip" up the mountains this weekend, maybe camp out, hike... I don't think so.  I do have her sorting her old toys out to give away, so far the "old" pile is pitifully small.

Digger do you have pics of mountain snow from there. I imagine it's beautiful. I've visited Colorado (Marble,Georgtown,Leadville, and Gunnison)but not during the snow season.Texas doesn't get a lot of snow.

Sure, here's a whole bunch of them.  It is breathtaking sometimes driving west on I-70, just past Golden, you come over a little hill and there they all are.  Shining white as far as you can see.
