Why Women Hate Sarah Palin
 Advertisements [?]Some polls are suggesting that after gaining an initial bump, McCain's campaign is being hobbled by Sarah Palin's vice-presidential candidacy. The voters who are deserting her fastest, some of whom are even calling on her to withdraw, are mostly women.

Ah, women, the consistently, tragically underestimated constituency. What the Democrats learned during the primaries and the Republicans might now be finding out the hard way, I learned at my very academic, well-regarded all-girls high school: that is never to discount the ability of women to open a robust, committed, well-thought-out vat of hatred for another girl.

Women are weapons-grade haters. Hillary Clinton knows it. Palin knows it too. When women get their hate on, they don't just dislike, or find disfavor with, or sort of not really appreciate. They loathe — deeply, richly, sustainingly. I do not say this to disparage my gender; women also love in more or less the same way.

When men disagree, the steps to resolution are reasonably clear and unsophisticated. Acts of physical violence are visited upon one another's person or property, and the whole thing blows over. Women? Nu-unh. We savor the discord. We draw it out. We share our contempt with our friends, like a useful stock tip, or really good salsa. And then we all go hate together: a mutually encouraging group activity for when the book group gets quiet.

I'll tell you why women dislike Palin: Many women have worked for years to get ahead and be taken seriously in the work world. Palin flashes her beauty queen smile while using her family as props, and suddenly she's next in line to be the most powerful person in the world.

 we also understand that she is a pawn herself of powerful men. Does she know it? I think so, if only very deep down.

What is so unnerving about this whole thing is that it is played out so dishonestly. So I really don't know what or who makes me angrier, her or the men manipulating her...

but because she's "cute & perky", she thought she could "move up" on the merits of what she got from her parents' dip in the gene pool..

WEe all know a sarah.. she's the "girlfriend" who would steal your boyfriend in a heartbeat, if she thought it would "teach you a lesson" for some slight you made toward her..she doesn;t actually WANT your boyfriend, but she does it because she can..to punish you..

she's the one who coyly uses her sexuality, and then feigns innocence..

she's the one who moves up the ladder because of what she looks like, instead of what she knows..and every time she speaks, we all know how true that is..

she's the mom who pops out kids and then dumps them on family member or each other, to raise them..

she sells out her own child's confidences, and exposes her to international scrutiny, to further her own "career"..

I think Palin has had an enormous amount of BS thrown at her and her family in one month, but length of time is probably the only length I see as far as trashing goes. Palin has been accused of sleeping around.
Hillary has been accused of being a lesbian, and of causing her husband to sleep around by being a bad wife.

Palin has been told she's a bad mother because of wanting to be VP.
Hillary was accused by Barbara Bush of not having motherly instincts after showing her around the White House.
A joke got told about Chelsea Clinton supposedly telling her school to "call my dad, my mom is busy" on the radio (local radio).

Palin is accused of sleeping with men to get to the top.
Hillary is accused of only getting to the top because of a man she sleeps with, her husband.

I've heard Palin be described as shrill, a bitch, a fake.
I've heard Hillary be described as shrill, a bitch, a fake progressive.

The only real difference I'm seeing is that Palin had a lot thrown at her in such a small amount of time.

As for the Hilary versus Palin thing. I hate to say it, but there is some validity to what Lanie says. BIG DIFFERENCE THOUGH****is that the MSM was all to willing to pick up the ball with stories that amounted to Weekly World News reports and actually use them, without 'vetting' them. The MSM never jumped enmasse and claimed Hilary was a lesbo or a terrible mother or anyone else. Those were merely opinions of individual people that didn't get much more air then their immediate audience of friends, associates, and supporters. They were not publicized as fact. Considering this is a public office of the highest order that makes a huge different in how these women are treated. How rumor and innuendo is handled with both women represents a sharp contrast.

Hillary was the first First Lady to have an office and a staff in the West Wing.

There is absolutely no doubt.  I've even posted studies proving it.   

The difference between the news coverage and questioning of Sarah Palin, and the fawning and bootlicking they administered to Hillary is as clear as night and day.  Just as they now repeat every little slip or mistake Palin has made endlessly, while I've never heard Obama's sputtering and stuttering on any news program, it's only on YouTube.  Just as they ignored all the evidence about Edward's affair until Fox picked it up.  Palin is at least as articulate and intelligent as Obama, and probably more, yet you'd never know that from the MSM.

As to my comment that many libs are drug-addled, I base that on DU polls, scientific studies that show that libs are more likely to "experiment," and the fact that only drugs can explain the lack of coherent thought in their hate attacks.
