Why is Palin's baby at the debate in the first place? Are they so desperate that they have to use an infant as a prop?

27. I'm a father of two and grandfather of two
I realize kids are up at all times of the night but that's at home, not being passed around as a political prop.

Why is the 7 year old daughter the one to be carrying the baby in many of the photos as well as this evening? Why doesn't the MOTHER or FATHER, both of whom had their arms FREE, carry him? It is beyond appalling, imo.

With the daylight cycles Alaska has, I doubt the clock means much to the kids.  They must really think Biden got his ass kicked to be bitching about this.

One can tell most DUmmies don't have kids.

At Trig's age, he will be sleeping at seemingly random times. It takes awhile to get the baby's sleep pattern into something more typical.
Where do they think the stereotype of the messy, exhausted new parents come from ?

I've got four kids of my own and the clock meant jack sh*t to all of them at that age.

Heh, true for my four too, but they go through phases.  They were the most predictable as toddlers, but before and after that they were all over the map.

Yes, because we can judge that based upon the few times the entire family has appeared on TV together.

Idiot.

In large families (for DUmp monkeys, that would be families with more than 1 child), it is not unusual for older siblings to often care for the younger ones.

My husband's family consisted of 14 kids, he still calls his oldest sister "Li'l Mama" cause she 'raised' him.  Born and raised on a large farm, it was the norm for the older kids to tend to the little ones.   DUmp monkeys know nothing about families who work together to achieve for the whole.  It is all me me me me me all the time with the DUmmies.

33. Did Biden have his family there?
I was in and out of the room during the debate, but did I see Biden walking off at the end of the debate with some blond teen (?) girls? Would they be his granddaughters? There are many many things to criticize Palin for, but having her family at an historic, vice-presidential debate is not one of them.

My son and I are both terrible night owls, and as a baby he often stayed up very late with me. Still does at age 11. onetireddad is an early bird and does not understand our cycles at all.

Now I know most DUmmies wouldn't understand this, because they were all bottle-fed Chinese infant formulas as knee-biters, but I'm willing to bet a week's pay that Trig was there because Sarah breast fed him just before the debate, and likely not long afterwards as well.  Kinda hard to breast feed from 3,000 miles away.

I'm sure Sarah could have pumped in order to allow Trig to stay home, but when you're hounded by media asshats and DUmmy moonbats 16 hours a day, I'm sure she looks forward to spending some bonding time with someone who actually loves her unconditionally, and expects nothing more than a tummy full of milk a few times a day, clean britches once in a while, and a hug just because.  Again, something it appears the average DUmmy is completely unfamiliar with.

When my youngest son was Trig's age he would wake up in time for Johnny Carson just about every night. The Tonight Show music came on and he was suddenly wide awake...to this day he still watches the DVDs. Infants have their own schedule. I've seen that baby wide awake and sound asleep while thunderous applause was roaring around them. I'm convinced seething rage and envy makes people stupid. And that little Piper just loves the limelight and is a natural. I'm betting she really, really wanted the responsibility of caring for her little brother. That baby is so loved, I think DUmmies are just jealous that their own families aren't that strong.

To me this is akin to going to Disneyland...one stays at the park until the gates close because this isn't an everyday activity. As a homeschooler I would look at this as an incredible opportunity for my children to see democracy in action. For people who consider themselves the creative, rebellious, individualist types they sure have a hard time thinking outside the box.

I have wondered about Trig's hearing as nothing seems to phase him.

However, I would say that touch and cuddles are one of the very best things for him.

To see the children, particularly Piper cuddle him, to me is a testimony to Sarah and Todd's parenting. Trig will never know he is different, until someone with a mean spirit - most likely an adult....either tells him so or he overhears 2 adults talking.

I was badly burned on most of my left arm on the day I was born, have severe scarring, and my arm was smaller than the right until I was an adult. It wasn't my parents that made me ashamed of how it looked.....it was other people. Kids...."ooohhhh, your arm is soooo ugly"....and those well-meaning adults....."oh honey, did your mother pour hot coffee on you?"

People are cruel. ...as evidenced by those creeps at DU or others who have asked why didn't Sarah abort him.

Trig was blessed to be born to Todd and Sarah Palin.

You know, there is no excuse needed here. Babies stay up until all hours anyway and when they are up because of their parents own activities, it is not uncommon during special situations. I'm sure nobody on DU has ever had an infant of theirs at say a family celebration, the holidays, or some other special event up with everyone else where hte baby was not only up until unusual hours for that infant, but gasp may have slept in his or her car seat, a playpen, or some other modified means of bedding. I'd say some of the monumental moments in this families life desire the presence of their children at them. The baby isn't going to be harmed for being there. They just will stretch for anything won't they?  :whatever:

I worry more about the parents that allow their teenage kids to stay out until 4-5-6 am..

If Trig and the other kids were all home, the DUmp would be saying,
Quote
See, she doesn't care about those kids at all.  She shuffles them off to some sitter, or leaves them home all alone.  Bristol is probably stuck taking care of all the younger ones, poor kid, no wonder she decided to have her own, her witch-mother has never given her any choice.  That's probably why she stayed home "with mono" all those months, Palin needed a free babysitter, and fundy women are just baby factories anyway, Bristol didn't need "no stinkin' edumacation."

There is no way Sarah would please these people unless she "had an enlightening experience," dropped off the ticket, and converted to Dim.

Personally, I'm quite happy to see a mother who not only does not murder her kids, but actually takes them with her wherever she goes.  Obviously, having her kids is not the "horrible burden" the DUmp thinks kids "should be."  Of course, most of the DUmp has the mental age of 8 or 9, so kids are pretty tough on them.
