I know several of you don't think the Obamassiah will win, but so far I'm still lean towards saying that he will.  Phil Gramm is right, America has become a nation of whiners and they want someone to hold their hand.  They're not listening to what this little communist is saying, they just hear "change" and "hope" and to them that means Mommy and Daddy will change their diaper, give them a bottle, and rock them to sleep.  Yes, I'm still betting a majority are that stupid.  The main advantage we have as conservatives is that we know the train wreck that will happen and can prepare for it.

.

Sadly, I agree. I've had a bad feeling about this for awhile, and I can see O pulling this off.

Could happen.  Hell, it could even work out mildly to the plus side for me financially, before he wrecks the whole damned economy at least (Even Jimmuh took a good little while to do that), and I'm far outside the downwind ellipse of whatever city that might get nuked by the muj, except maybe KC.  Still hoping it doesn't come to that.

I still don't think Barack Hussein Obama can win, but he can become POTUS if he manufactors enough votes. ACORN has been indited in virtually every swing state so far, and the voting fraud they're committing is rampant - they will do anything to put their fake messiah in office.

There's a good chance of a constitutional crisis no matter what - if he *wins*, the voting irregularities will be too obvious to ignore. If he loses, he will probably drag it through the courts like Gore did, unless he's beaten by a huge margin, which I still think is likely. All those polls are making the flaw that if a state has a 43/27/30 D/R/I split in party registration, that's how they'll vote and then they weigh the poll accordingly. By that measure, Ronald Reagan would have been "predicted" to lose in a landslide.

Neither on of us is from here (E TN). I grew up in DesMoines and northern Illinois, he grew up in Cincy. I stepped back in time 20 years when I moved to Virginia from Omaha, in 1977.

Our "running buddies" both grew up here. The other night at dinner, he was telling us that several of his buddies - many that he was in fraternity with in college - have been life long Democrats. (he isn't) He said that none of them are willing to vote for Obama, they are all voting for McCain.

We were also talking about polling. None of us have ever been called. We all have college degrees, homeowners, self-employed (except for the other wife - she's a graphic designer for UT).

One of the guys was saying that when pollsters call....if they donot receive an answer....they may mark the result however they wish. Does anyone know if this is true. Whichever guy it was, said they read it in the Wall Street Journal.

Having lived in the South since 1977....there are many white people down here...born and bred Southerners.... that the only way I'm going to believe that they are voting for Obama is to stand next to them and watch them pull the lever for him.

Racism and the Klan are still very alive and well in this area. There is an area of this county that is still almost entirely white. I became a realtor 11+ years ago.....not long after that there were a couple of cross burnings in that area. There are surrounding counties that are still predominately, if not 95%+, that are still white. I can drive 30 minutes from my house and be in "Deliverance".

I have a hard time believing the polls.

I will say though....the media already has given tomorrow night's debate to Biden. Unless Palin does a phenomenal job and Biden makes some serious screw-ups...Biden will win, no matter what his performance....cause the media will give it to him.

As this mess with the economy continues to unfold.....Obama wins and McCain loses. Not because Obama is smart enough to get the country out of this mess...because I don't think he is...but because he is NOT a Republican.

IIRC, both Gore and Kerry were showing "up" in the polls at this stage of the game in 2000 and 2004.

They lost.

Problem is, this election we're gonna see vote fraud on a scale that hasn't been attempted since the 1960 farce that gave it to Kennedy.  Rest assured the Dhimmi-crats will be pulling out all the stops for a "victory" next month.

How long did you live in Omaha?  I was born in Omaha and moved to Tulsa in 1981.

I moved there when I graduated from college in '74 and left after I got married in June '77. My ex was from NE, and we got married the weekend after he graduated from med school in Omaha.

I lived at 96th and Q on the golf course the first 2 years, and then in apartments behind the Ground Cow over on 74th and Pacific.

Tried to get hired at Boy's Town, but I weighed 94lbs and looked about 15 and they wouldn't hire me. Worked for Richman Gordman for a year, first as a buyer's assistant, then dept manager over at 120th and Center. Then for Xerox for 2 yrs, my office overlooked AK-SAR-BEN race track.

I loved Omaha!

I remember the "zoo" in Richman Gordman's close to where I lived when I was a small child.  I loved sliding down the elephants trunk.  My oldest brother worked for Boy's Town about 10 years ago for awhile.   My Dad used to take me to AK-SAR-BEN and leave me in the kid area while he bet on the horses.  I remember one time in particular eating a popsicle and it was hot as hell.  My Dad had forgotten about me and had to come back to get me.   :whatever:

We lived just off 78th & Blondo when I was born then moved to around 120th & Blondo when I was in 5th grade.  I have family members who still live in Omaha.

The poll they showed on Fox this morning still have McCain up in Ohio, and a slight lead in FL.

Do you have a link? I can't find it and I could really use some good news like this.

The Quinnipac is an obvious outlier

the other FLoridas are BS polls at best.

its supposed to go up and down a bit.

My fellow Americans, there is nothing audacious about hope. Hope is what makes people buy lottery tickets instead of paying the bills. Hope is for the old gals feeding the slots in Atlantic City. It destroys the inner-city kid who quits school because he hopes he'll be a world-famous recording artist.

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and Barack Obama?

One is a well turned-out, good-looking, and let's be honest, pretty sexy piece of eye-candy.

The other kills her own food.
