Saturday and holy spit did I sleep in!
« on: September 27, 2008, 11:47:46 AM »
My daughter, a goddess child who we clearly do not deserve, fed the pets and made breakfast for the mancub and her and then let the big people sack out until ELEVEN O'CLOCK!!!  :cheersmate:

Mrs. asdf and I don't know how to act.  Eldest doesnt know how to act either.  This is her first Saturday without a volleyball tourny this month!

Bummed out that the first news I got this morning was of Paul Newman passing. :(  I had never heard that he was a Radio/Gunner on TBF Avengers in the Pacific during WWII.  He and Lee Marvin were my favorite actors when I was growing up.

Gonna do a little thread hopping and then cram a pot roast into the crock pot for dinner tonight.

We have absolutely gorgeous weather here today. Going to hit 80 degrees and sunny.

Life is pretty good! :-)

I'm going to quote Mr. Garrison from South Park.

Ahem...

"YOU GO TO HELL! You go to hell and you DIE!"

I actually fell asleep yesterday afternoon for about an hour and I was so out of it when I woke up that I was driving around thinking it was Monday afternoon for some reason. :-)

Been quite busy here. Making spicy tomato sauce from the tomato/chilli harvest (still ongoing and it looks like going through to November at this rate!). I also made some coconut macaroons - thank you baking genius asdf - and am just baking some oatmeal and raisin cookies for church tomorrow. Cooking is so much more fun than real housework which still awaits and may have to stay undone because I have fun stuff to do this evening.

Don't worry about it, most of the residents where I work take naps and get their days and nights confused too.  Now go change your Depends and I'll fix you a nice bowl of mush  :-)

I think I've done way too much real housework...rented a carpet cleaner last night, and I've spent way too many hours running it now.  Grrrr...I hurt all over.   :( :bawl:

You know the wierdest thing?   I absolutely LOVE cleaning carpets with a carpet machine.

I don't know what the hell it is, but I get into a kind of "Zen" state and I barely notice the time going by.  I have thought a few times that if I ever had to pick a "Menial" job to work that I would be pretty happy working for a carpet cleaning place.

Another day of flood warnings.  Good thing I live on the TOP of the hill.

Oh, and lobster casserole for dinner.  Eat your heart out, people.  $4.99 a pound for live ones at Market Basket.

ETA: Oh yeah, and I slept in too--until 6:30.  That's as late as the dog lets me sleep.  Either that or it gets REAL messy.

I slept in a bit today.

I'm actually at work for the next few hours.  I'm running our statements and it takes a few hours.  I could have done it yesterday, but that would have interfered with my Happy Hour.   :-)

Running the machine wasn't bad.  It was the dumping and refilling that killed me.   :bawl: :bawl:

But I loved watching all that dirt disappear from my house!   :hyper:

Had a good, productive morning around here.   Gonna have some ultimate nachos for dinner tonight, along with a glass of wine.

Oh, and my daughter is officially out on her first date.  :thatsright: :banghead: Just her and the boy.  He invited her to go see Dark Knight.  Thankfully neither of them can drive yet, so his mom drove them.  He seems nice enough.  Can wait to grill her when she gets home. :-)

Had a much better day at work.  One of my former bosses ( I work in another department now and WON'T be going back) apologized to me for how they responded to what happened to my car, as they were completely rude to me when I came in from outside visibly upset.

Now, I've got to send off a bunch of e-mails to the other CR officers regarding future events and activities.  :)

Okay, this is where my ADD blonde self makes an appearance... :loser: I forgot the names of two of the other officers.    :lmao::uhsure:

I think their names are Andrew and Dalton, but I'm so tired, I'm not sure.  :p
