Sen. Ted Kennedy Taken to Cape Cod Hospital

I don't like him very much, but I have empathy for what he and his family are trying to get through.

Sen. Ted Kennedy Taken to Cape Cod Hospital

Sen. Ted Kennedy, who has been undergoing treatment for a malignant brain tumor, was taken to a hospital near his Cape Cod vacation home after complaining of feeling ill Friday.

But his condition was not described as serious.

Sen. John Kerry, Kennedy's Massachusetts colleague, told FOX News the Democratic senator plans to return home to watch the presidential debate Friday night. Kerry said he spoke with Kennedy and that he was in good spirits.

Kennedy arrived at the Cape Cod hospital "conscious and alert," according to a source close to the situation.

Barnstable police Sgt. Ben Baxter said a 911 call from the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port came about 5 p.m. Friday.

Baxter said Kennedy was taken by ambulance to Cape Cod Hospital. He also said Kennedy was "alert and responsive" during the trip.

Yeah, I was about to post this. Sounds like he'll be okay, since the hospital released him this fast.

I worked with someone that was diagnosed with brain cancer.  he put up a brave fright, but ultimately, there just
isn't much that medical science can do with most brain tumors.

I don't think that I have ever agreed with a word that he has ever said, but my heart and prayers go out to him
and his family.

Sadly for his loved ones, this is the beginning of the end for Ted. I'm not trying to bash him, I'm just being honest. Prayers there is comfort to be found on the road ahead.

My uncle, who is only 46 years old is fighting this right now...He went for his 2nd surgery yesterday and found 2 more tumors.  He is an optimistic guy and wants aggressive treatment..but this type of cancer spreads like a wildfire.  I pray for a miracle.

I had a relative like that once two - he did the radiation, chemo, the works. He did survived for almost three years after his diagnosis, but he was younger, around 35.

I wouldn't wish this on anyone ever and I will continue to pray for him and his family.

for all of the advances of medical science, brains are still beyond their reach, to a large extent.

I agree and have a good mind to give someone a piece of my mind over this.
