Just wanted to vent
I moved from Cleveland OH to very conservative Decatur AL about 2.5 years ago. It's not that bad down here really. Anyways, I live in a nice quiet older neighborbhood where you almost next to never see or hear anybody, no traffic, no drama. Well, everythings going along great today because I actually see a car with a Obama/Biden sticker. One of the first I've seen. I remember seeing an Obama sticker during the primaries, but that was up near Huntsville, a more liberal city. Well I'm leaving my house to get something to eat tonight, I'm tiptoeing to my car cuz its so quiet you can hear a pen drop...and then, lo and behold I saw it! A McCain/Palin sign right across the street! I wanted to go take a big dump on my neighbor's lawn. Now, Im not an idiot. I know that most people are Repubs down here, but I just thought it was such damn stupid timing on their part. Obama's steadily moving up in the polls, the economy is taking a nose dive, and then their figurehead McCain is trying to get out of the debate. It almost seen like my neighbors were screaming, "I DON'T GIVE A SHIT! AIN'T NO WAY I'M GOING FOR THAT OBAMA. HE AIN'T ONE OF US! I'D RATHER BE PICKED CLEAN BY BUSH, AND THEN LET MCCAIN AND HIS CRAZY ASS SUCK ON THE MARROW IN MY BONES THAN CALL THAT DIRTY HALF BREED SOB LIBERAL ELITIST MY PRESIDENT"
At least that's what I heard...
Now Im going to have to see that crap everyday!
Thanks for listening, now I'm going to go get a glass of wine.

I had NO idea a mere sign would drive them nutz like this!

I seriously have to get one and then make a special effort to wave at the guy two houses down with both an Obama AND an anti-coal sign on his yard.

I wasn't going to put a sign in my yard this year, now that I know how much it drives them nuts I'm going to get one.

A house down the street from us, that had been foreclosed was recently purchased, and a the new owner moved in.  Drove by yesterday, and there is a McCain/Palin yard sign out front.  Mr Flame commented as we drove by "At least somebody with brains moved in"  ROFLMAO.

That's a lot to read into a McCain/Palin sign. I never realized one sign said so much. I'm going to have to listen to my neighbors just to see what it has to say.

Mere signs drive libtards nuts.  That is why you always hear stories of Republican signs being stolen or vandalized, but you hardly - if ever - hear of Democrat signs suffering the same fate.

Good luck finding a sign.  I called on Monday and they had just gotten a big shipment in from Harrisburg.  Today they are all gone.  No bumper stickers, no signs, no leaflets, nothing!

So a McCain/Palin sign drives them up the wall, over the edge and down into the depths of hell......GOOD I got to get 3 of them then. I live on a corner so I need one for each corner, near the road. ....and I think I'll throw in 2 large white crosses to-boot.

We have a group of friends and the great majority of them are republicans.  We have one set of husband/wife friends where the wife is a moonbat.  The husband is a democrat but she is seriously a moonbat.  My friends husband use to go take their kerry/edwards sign out of their yard and put his Bush sign in it's place.  While the moonbat's husband thought it was funny, the wife went crazy every time he did it.  He would do it after every debate so she knew it would be coming but man she got pissed.  He always gave it back the next day and it was all in fun.

She always wore a Kerry/Edwards necklace (yes I said NECKLACE) everyday and had bumper stickers all over her Volvo so I'm sure she took the sign in her yard very seriously.

There is still a Ron Paul '08 sign down the road from me.  Guess they haven't heard the news.   :whatever:

Won't work. I've seen pictures of your house. Your neighborhood indicates to me that everyone there is well employed, yet not so uber-wealthy as to cause them to be Streisand-esque moonbats. As for the one moonbat wife, I'd be willing to bet that her husband does all the wage-earning whilst she stays home all day taking her political marching orders from The View and Oprah.

Pretty much says it all, doesn't it?
Those who see their lives as spoiled and wasted crave equality and fraternity more than they do freedom. If they clamor for freedom, it is but freedom to establish equality and uniformity. The passion for equality is partly a passion for anonymity: to be one thread of the many which make up a tunic; one thread not distinguishable from the others. No one can then point us out, measure us against others and expose our inferiority.

It's a week to ten day delay from his site.  :banghead:

Um, if someone expressing a political opinion in opposition to your own makes you want to take a big dump on their lawn, you just might be an idiot.  In fact, you might just be a complete idiot.

At least that's what The Complete Idiot's Guide to Identifying Complete Idiots has to say about it.  And they would know.

I now know the political views of one of my son's therapists at school. My daughter and hers were sitting on the bus as they passed by the signs accumulating on the street corner and the little girl proclaimed the "NO"bama sign is gone(it was a regular old campaign sign so I'm assuming this young lady hearn Nobama from her parents :lmao:. No this is not a bouncy. My girl is 10 and has taken a great interest in the election process and candidates since they discuss it at school and she's old enough to be aware of it all around her.

Thankfully, she seems to value our opinion on this, but her dad and I are able to detail for her in economic terms that make sense at her level instead of esoteric, hope, dream, change stuff. I have a kid who has big dreams, but seems to understand the realities of pursuing those dreams and that they are hers alone to persue ie nobody owes her squat. By God's grace, given that, she may stay a conservative even through high school and college. We shall see.  :cheersmate:
