Wodensday
« on: September 24, 2008, 07:24:41 AM »
My little ones are scraping cereal bowls clean and are far more awake and aware than their ol' man right now.

I might actually try to grab some more shuteye after running the Mancub in today.

I have a bunch of painting and prep to get done for a convention in November that I am trying to get a leg up on.  Ususally I procrastinate until three weeks before hand and then scurrey like a mad SOB trying to get stuff done.  I figured this year I would be proactive.

Watching the morning news a bit was NOT condusive to brightening my prospects or mood.  The financial crap has me worried.
Plus we gots rain over us all day here. :(

Despite the fears being brodcast by the morning news, I will be slammed with customers at work today.

Wednesday is becoming one of my favorite days.  I get off work at 1pm and go to a silly little 1 hr class at school, then I'm free to do whatever the rest of the day (which usually means a nap).

asdf, speaking of the market, our 401k guy was already scheduled to come in this week.  I think I'm going to move some of my money around, but at the same time up how much I'm putting in each week.  I have over 30 years for the market to get back in shape before I retire.  I'm a natural worrier, so I'm trying to not worry about this right now.

We're are meeting friends at a long-time local cafeteria for good ole Southern cooking. They are only open from 11-2. No atmosphere whatsoever but the best chicken and dumplin's, chess pie, homemade rolls....guess what I'm having? :-)

They only have c and d on Mondays and Wednesdays, and meatloaf on Wednesdays. The couple we're meeting, he wanted meatloaf, so everyone is leaving work and meeting at 1. We'd stand outside for 20 minutes trying to get through the line if we went sooner.

Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate.

Done with class for the day, but not with other work. :uhsure:

Y'all are now looking at a particular Savannah college's new College Republican ChairWOMAN.  :evillaugh:

We had elections for the next year held today.  No one else wanted the job. :p  :lmao:

I'm going to be so tied up in school, work, and CR's, I might not have much time to spare for this site, but we shall see.  :)   This year will be tough, as it is a transitional year (after the election is over, of course), so keeping membership up with freshmen and sophomores is at the top of my agenda.

Right now, I've got to get the group signed up for some things... a couple of debates, a day to celebrate the college's 12th anniversary, and other such organizational-related "fun."

LOL! Yes, I did.   :cheersmate:

Polishing the resume with a volunteer job like this is definitely a perk.  I may not be a poly-sci major (Jesus, I'm not insane enough for that! :p ), but it will help build my leadership skills for the field I WILL be going into.  :)

Wednesday is the new Friday.  :couch:

Passed my level 1 test @ work.  I am no longer a "trainee".  Woo hoo.  That still means I'm working on a stinking helpdesk.  Maybe things will improve.  It's slightly less ming-numbing than swapping out one motherboard after another.  At least the hours are nice... I keep waking up at 6am thinking I'm already supposed to be at work.  It's nice to be able to sleep in until 7:30.

Knight Rider is on . Check your local NBC Channel
It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.
