9. I smell a Draft
That word should be spoken more and more if we want the young ones to go out and vote.

US runs short of combat soldiers

Three extra combat brigades requested by the US commander in Afghanistan will not be available before spring 2009, the US defence secretary has said.

The US does "not have the forces... at this point", Robert Gates told the Senate Armed Services Committee.

Last week Gen David McKiernan, the head of the Nato-led force in Afghanistan, said he needed three more brigades on top of planned troop increases.
>
"Without changing deployment patterns, without changing length of tours, we do not have the forces to send three additional brigade combat teams to Afghanistan at this point," Mr Gates told the committee.

16. Nobody's going to send their sons to ..................
risk their lives for some bogus, pretentious BS. People have lost confidence in this government. You wanna see a mass exodus out of this country (remember, people still remember Vietnam), just bring back the draft!

That's funny. McCain's sons are serving, Palin's son is deploying to Iraq, and even Biden's son may head over...

14. Shouldn't someone ask Bush why he's bringing a brigade home for domestic duties then?

They bitch when we are there, the bitch when we are here. They just bitch.

Q:  "Do I feel a draft in here?"

A:  "No, you're just a wuss."

The only bills in the last 10 years calling for a draft have come from Democrats.  But don't let the facts get in the way of anything...
Those who see their lives as spoiled and wasted crave equality and fraternity more than they do freedom. If they clamor for freedom, it is but freedom to establish equality and uniformity. The passion for equality is partly a passion for anonymity: to be one thread of the many which make up a tunic; one thread not distinguishable from the others. No one can then point us out, measure us against others and expose our inferiority.

I hope this is a mole.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Not that we need a draft but if there does come a time the Dreanged Monkies thatoccupy the DU zoo should remember that it was Clinton that is responsable for the size of todays current forces with the BRAC closings and realignments that took place after Bush 42 left office.

WTF, over?  If "Force" includes voluntarily enlisting in one of the armed forces during a time of war, and then actually getting sent off to take part in said war...but who except for a DUmmie is brain-damaged enough to think like that?

I believe all the services met their rectuiting goals in FY2008, an entirely different issue than the fact that our order of battle doesn't currently include three otherwise-unemployed BCTs with no slot in the scheduled OIF/OEF theater rotations.

Some of you may remember that I posted a thread at CU in June of 2005 with about 50 links to DUmmies predicting a draft in the summer of 2005.

I should see if I have that saved somewhere, it is probably still hilarious.
