Three days now! My God! Even that idiot in Arizona figured out when to shut up.
In 1997 my brigade participated in an excercise and deployed mostly in the state of Arizona. As I have said, I was comms so that means we're troop light and equipment heavy. There was less than five thousand of us all put together. Some jerk up in the mountains near Tuscon with a HAM radio started broadcasting that we were deploying to help the governor declare martial law. The jerk couldn't figure out we were small in number with no real combat equipment and there was no logical reason for declaring martial law that we couldn't help enforce anyway.
It did a fine job of setting us on edge.
