bird-smacking stoned red-faced primitive enraged, as usual

Oh my.

The bird-smacking stoned red-faced primitive, who at Thanksgiving tried to imitate Christ by feeding the multitudes of relatives gathered at his house on a turkey the size of a pigeon, and a slice and a half of ham.

Anyway.

Message from the US Government to people who are self-employed: **** YOU.

People will get six hundred bucks from the Feds ONLY if they "receive a regular paycheck."

But if you work for yourself, **** YOU, no matter how much you pay in taxes every year; you don't DESERVE to benefit from any "economic stimulus package."

How nice. You start a business, take all the risks, pay your own health insurance premiums (like, say, the $2,000 per month we pay), NEVER have even the CHANCE of having ANY safety net like unemployment, pay an extra 7-1/2 percent of your income each year for Social Security (the Self-Employment Tax), and on and on.

This is no surprise. We self-employed people are very well used to hearing "**** YOU" from all the various levels of government, so at least we're not going to be shocked at hearing it from the Federal Government yet again.

By the way, wasn't it a Democrat Congress that did that?

4. Oh, no, they've never been champions of SMALL businesses; you see, small businesses aren't able to give the Repubs the big bucks they want for fundraisers, even if the owners are Republicans (which, just from what I've seen, most of them are not).

The Repubs ONLY go where the money (that's available to them) is. Which is only LARGE businesses.

By the way again, wasn't it a Democrat Congress that did that?

6. that's what I read in the newspaper this morning, and heard on the radio this afternoon.

One supposes the bird-smacking stoned red-faced primitive missed the part in the news, about how it was a Democrat Congress that did that.

8. Well, yes. You're absolutely right; excellent response.

The response though didn't mention it was a Democrat Congress that did that.

14. Hartford Courant and NPR. Neither said anything about income levels.

Something however was said about it being a Democrat Congress that did that.

Once again, slowly.....

I meant to explicitly say "D e m o c r a t," not "moonbat."

lol I was just telling Franksolich how to make the word democrat appear as democrat instead of moonbat (although I think moonbat is a better word for them) since he was wondering.

Before you all get up in the OP face, this is a legitimate complaint.

It is like punishing the creators of wealth instead of the users of wealth.

I owned my own business and it is a lot of work.  A large percentage of people in the US (last I heard was 70% but I can google it if anyone wants to challenge me) work for small businesses.

If they don't give the stupid stupid stupid (did I mention this is stupid) "tax rebate" = "loan and you will pay 10X" to everyone who files a 1040 then it is immoral and unfair.

If it is GM or Google, great - give GM or Google the rebate.

From the way I read it, if you paid income taxes, which from what I understand, you still do even if you own your own business, you still get the rebate.

All you gotta do is pay income taxes.  And from what i've also read, those small businesses are also getting breaks in other things as well.

All around, this seems like a damn good thing to me.  I'm eagerly awaiting my $600.

You will only pay back 10 or 11 thousand for that -- maybe more.

You file a 1040 with money going to the government, then you get a rebate.

Now redstone can be pissed that the democrat congress keeps stopping the self-employed from expensing off healthcare so that it is not included in schedule SE. My pro-universal healthcare moonbat congresswoman voted against that. Thanks Lois.
