Monday. The day that lives in infamy...
« on: September 22, 2008, 07:55:02 AM »
Groggy.  One of my favorite words.

Still absorbing my first cup o' joe and trying to evolve from proto human to something with opposable thumbs. Oook.

Losing my wife for 4 days to neccessary business travel so it is just me and the wee clan this week.  Ton of cleaning and organizing to do to get the house ready for a birthday party for the Mancub and his peeps sometime soon.

Foggy as all get out this morning.  There is a pretty big storm front coming our way off the plains that will reach us tonight or tomorrow.

It feel like Autumn finally.  The soybean fields are all rust and gold and the sugar maples are all starting to sport some red and yellow here and there.  Plus the sweet corn is about at it's absolute best and the very first Honeycrisp apples hit the green grocers here.

I think we may drive into Madison this coming Saturday and hit the farmers market on the capitol square. I have had a yen for good fingerling potatos and hot house tomatos lately. Plus there are some little home based bakeries that sell unbeleavably good crusty bread there.

Something to look forward to at the end of the coming week.

My wife is leaving on Wednesday for five days.  I have no wee ones to keep me company.  It's just me and the dogs.  I should really consider taking up a alcohol habit.

Otherwise, today is just another Monday, as Fall begins.  I can look forward to a change of life, at least for a while, at the end of the week.  The State Fair begins Friday.  Ugh.

Nothing too exciting planned for me today, thankfully.  Just some typical cleaning and stuff...yippee.

There is either a baseball practice or baseball game tonight...coach wasn't sure.  Also dance tonight...Nutcracker auditions today.

I need to bake today....we were gone all day yesterday (normally make some sort of goodies to last through the week for lunches) so I didn't get it done then.

Might take a nap, too.

We just filled out the order form for almost 200$ worth of band fundraising crap. :-)

Funny thing is we really want all the stuff we ordered, lol.

I have to push the Eldest out today with her cell phone in hand doing some selling after school.

It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

Have already done one report this morning and have another one to get done. Bunch of paperwork completion.

Still recouping from bad meatballs....think there's a nap in my afternoon.
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate.

"My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far I've finished two bags of M&M's and a chocolate cake. I feel better already." – Dave Barry

A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands.

I am in a rut and I need to figure out how to get the hell out of it soon.

Just about to leave the office after a long day at work.  Trying to decide what to have for dinner.  :-)

Finished up my statistics homework, and now working on an assignment for my Intro to Research in Healthcare course.   I have to write a 4 page literature review, with 4 primary sources, which are actually the studies and experiments themselves.   I couldn't find anything appealing for the field I want to get into, so I went with something else that interests me... animal-aided therapy. :)   Using various medical field databases that I've found through Galileo, like Medline and CINAHL, doing this research is very tedious but my topic has managed to yield many excellent primary resources for me to use.   :cheersmate:

Aside from HW, laundry NEEDS to be done, and I may just have dinner delivered.  :p

I had an enormously crappy day at work.  I don't see how it could have been any stupider.  :banghead:

At least it would have gotten me off the phone for a little bit.
