Perhaps but am thinking it more likely that she is just a loon.
The giddy happy dance or whatever she called it makes me wonder something though.
Did she really think somehow she was on the cusp of a breaking story which would bring her fame and accolades or was she knowingly treating her fellow islanders as idiots?
How does one discern these things?
I've wondered about that too, not regarding the lonestarnut primitive, but various other primitives.
It's been obvious for seven years now that there are some primitives who have a deeply-seated loathing and contempt for their fellow primitives.
The Bostonian Drunkard is a good example, as is Pedro Picasso.
Their dislike of their fellow primitives might as well be on an illuminated billboard, rather than hidden in their reactions, or non-reactions, to other primitives.
Decent and civilized people know that the primitives Hate us; but what's often overlooked is that among the primitives themselves, there's a lot Hate going on there too.
When rowing away from Skins's island, it sometimes strikes me that some primitives would rather have a sit-down and a beer with one of us, rather than with one of their own.
But I'm not sure about the lonestarnut; if it's contempt, or delusion.
