Girl who was tasered by cops must write letter of apology
 Advertisements [?]http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/crime/orl-tas...

<snip>
An 11-year-old girl who was shocked by a Taser after she punched a deputy was sentenced to one year of probation and ordered to write a letter of apology to the deputy.

The former Moss Park Elementary student tugged at her pink shirt as she quietly answered questions Wednesday from Orange Circuit Court Judge Alan Apte. He wanted to make sure the girl -- who wore a ponytail with a pink headband -- understood she was pleading no contest to a charge of resisting arrest without violence.
<snip>

WTF.

2. I would say why taser a little 11 year old, but she's 5 ft 5 & 170lbs.
 A 170lb 11 year old?
She's bigger than most adults I know!
Perfectly reasonable, all around.

3. What kind of sick world when an 11 yr old gets tasered by
 the militia.  Unless she had a gun, there is NO justification for this.

Jerkfish jumps on the race bandwagon as per typical.  Democrats have been 'liberal' with throwing the race card at every opportunity and cannot see that it is NOT helpful.

14. So put himself in close proximity just to appear extra lovey?

Those weapons are issued to cops for a reason. Lets see how long you last being asked to confront violent individuals everyday.

Start the countdown on this guy  :lmao:

Tazers are a non lethal, non permanent injury device. The DUmmies should be glad that they have them to use, instead of clubbing people over the head, or filling them full of lead.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

My problem with Tasers is that the cops use them as a "compliance" device, which they weren't really meant to be. I was around when the Taser came out and it was to disarm individuals that had a weapon of some sorts instead of having to shoot them. Nowadays, even if a person is just unruly, agitated, or just being non-compliant, the cops whip out their Taser and zap someone. While Tasers are designed to be non-lethal, that isn't always the case. There have been several deaths resulting from the us of a Taser. When I was a cop, we didn't have Tasers and resorted to submission holds and such. I guess they really don't bother to learn that stuff any more.

From the Orlando Sentinel article:

Quote
The deputy could have used better judgment, said the girl's attorney, Mark Lippman.

"It appears she acted out of pain because her nose was bleeding at that point. I don't know if she acted correctly," he said.

A 170-pounder, whaling away on a deputy sheriff, was subdued. It was an girl deputy, so she probably would not have had the physical strength to handle the situation any other way. But regardless, if the deputy had been a former NFL linebacker, if you draw blood from a police officer, getting tased is probably one of your luckier outcomes.

DUmmies need to understand that laws their democrat friends dreamed up now require that we now have 105-pound girls trying their honest best to enforce the law. They will have to use hardware a lot more often, because the muscle isn't there.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- An Orange County sheriff's deputy on Thursday shocked an 11-year-old girl with a Taser gun at an elementary school after the girl punched her in the face, authorities said.The altercation happened during announcements at Moss Park Elementary School, located at 9301 N. Shore Golf Club Blvd. in Orlando, Orange County school officials sa

id.According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, the girl, identified as Thaliamar Jiminez by Local 6 News, pushed another student into oncoming traffic, and the student who was pushed reported the incident to a teacher.

The teacher approached Jiminez, but the 11-year-old ignored the teacher and walked to her homeroom class, according to the sheriff's office.

The homeroom teacher also tried to talk to Jiminez, who became agitated and began to shove her desk and chair, Orange County sheriff's deputies said. Jiminez was asked to go to the office but refused and yelled and spit at the teachers, deputies said.The school resource officer, Orange County sheriff's Deputy Donna Hudepohl was called to remove Jiminez, who pushed Hudepohl and punched her in the face, causing her nose to bleed, according to the sheriff's office.Hudepohl attempted to secure Jiminez, but she continued to fight, so Hudepohl shocked her with her Taser gun, the sheriff's office said.Hudepohl was transported to Florida Hospital East and treated for a bruised sinus cavity, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.Jiminez was also taken to Florida Hospital East to have the Taser prongs removed, but she was not injured, deputies said.Jiminez was arrested and faces charges of battery on a law enforcement officer, disrupting a school function and resisting with violence.Jiminez was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.

Sounds to me like the girl came out of it better off than the cop, and the kid that was pushed was pretty lucky.  Oncoming traffic could be deadly.
