I went to the grocery store yesterday

I bought a half pound each of three lunch meats and one cheese; a fruit salad made of red grapes, green grapes, pineapple and strawberries; two containers around seven ounces each of lemon dill salmon salad (I swear I'm addicted); and a 20 oz. bottle of Minute Made lemonade. $50.63! I bought hardly anything; the bag was only about half full. I'd probably have to take out a bank loan if I had picked up some meat and produce.

This is outrageous. What are people with families supposed to do? What are people who got their SNAP benefits taken away supposed to do? Thanks for nothing, DJT. I remember him saying he would bring the price of eggs down on day one of his term, but he didn't say he'd bring the price of everything else up. Groceries. Gas. Health care. Housing. Everything is up. I remember my ex-hairdresser having a Trump sign that said "No inflation. Lower taxes." I want to ask her how that's working out for her now.

And while the country is going to hell in a handbasket, he's wasting his time and our money on things (too many to mention) that don't help (or even interest) anybody but himself. Never in a million years would I ever have believed our once beautiful country could come to this. Thanks for nothing, DJT voters. Thanks for less than nothing.

Unless MI or her city mandated a significant minimum wage increase in the past 2 years, that same bag of deli items and lemonade was probably about the same in 2024. Borrowing what I keep answering gas price whiners on FB:
