I Have Updated My Profile.

I do that every year on my birthday. This year, I got to write that I am 81 years old.

I became a Democrat at the age of 15, when I volunteered at the local Democratic Party organization to do anything they wanted me to. Mostly, I set up and took down tables and chairs for meetings and rallies. JFK was running for President. My parents were Republicans. They planned to vote for Nixon.

I couldn't vote for six more years, but I could volunteer and try to help JFK get elected. And so he was. I'm still voting for Democrats, and have always voted for Democrats.

Want to give me a present for my 81st birthday? Go and volunteer at your local Democratic Party organization. That's the best gift you could possibly give me.

As I write this, I am finishing with a slice of Coconut creme pie and a cup of coffee.
