Suspect in Berlin Pride attack identified as ‘Islamist’

The suspect allegedly involved in the ramming attack at Berlin's Gay Pride festival has been identified by police as a member of the city's "Islamist scene".

At least one person was killed and 17 others were injured on Saturday night, including three critically, after a white van mowed down a crowd of people at the event.

A manhunt remains underway for the driver of the vehicle which onlookers say crashed into a group of people at the event at around 10pm local time at high speed.

The driver allegedly attacked people with a knife after the collision, which occurred at Berlin's Tiergarten park. The suspect later fled the scene on foot and remains at large.

"Based on the investigators' initial findings, we have already identified a suspected perpetrator," Florian Nath, a spokesman for Berlin police, said, adding that the force's search for the suspect was "proceeding at full speed".

"He is known to us as a member of Islamic circles here in Berlin ... we still have no information whatsoever regarding his specific motives, the exact sequence of events, or his role in the crime itself."

Gay activists "know", despite contrary facts, however, that their true and deadliest "enemy" is "Fundamentalist" Christians.

Jewish students in the Ivy League, I’m here to offer an invitation: Come to the South, where you’ll be safe.

It’s manifestly not safe to be an Ivy League Jew. A prominent Columbia rabbi “strongly” advised Jewish students to go home and not come back: It’s become clear “Columbia University’s Public Safety and the NYPD cannot guarantee Jewish students’ safety in the face of extreme antisemitism and anarchy,” Rabbi Elie Buechler told students this week over WhatsApp.

And no wonder. An anti-Israel protester near the Columbia campus yelled at counterprotesters holding Israeli flags, “Go back to Poland!” and “Go back to Belarus!” The marcher waved the Palestinian flag in their faces and said, “Get the hell out of here!”

Acts and threats of violence are all over, and it’s not just the Ivy League: At Berkeley, a female freshman was choked during a pro-Palestinian protest, and pro-Palestinian protesters mobbed a dinner at the law dean’s house.

My advice to Jewish students at these institutions: Come on down. At schools like mine, the University of Tennessee, in red states, such intimidation, harassment and lawlessness aren’t tolerated.

In my city of Knoxville, after Hamas’ Oct. 7 rape/torture/murder/kidnapping spree, we had a pro-Israel rally attended by all our major civic leaders. The allegedly elite schools had marches in support of Hamas.

In the red states, support for Israel isn’t controversial. In our allegedly elite northeastern and California universities it can get you mobbed.

So why stay?

Sure, you’ll miss the good parts of New York or Cambridge (or . . . Philadelphia?). But red-state college towns are full of excellent bars, restaurants, music venues, theaters and other amenities of civilized living. (And at much more reasonable prices.)

People are friendly, and many of these schools have a lively Jewish presence and would welcome more. Maybe the degrees aren’t from Columbia, but the way things are going, is that so bad?]Jewish students in the Ivy League, I’m here to offer an invitation: Come to the South, where you’ll be safe.

Former President Barack Obama pulled Caitlin Clark aside during WNBA All-Star weekend in Chicago and offered some unexpected words of encouragement. The moment, captured on video and later described by Clark herself, has quickly spread online.

Obama approached the Indiana Fever star after surprising the All-Stars at a practice session. He shook her hand and got straight to the point.

“You’re great. You’re fantastic,” he said, video from NBC Chicago shows. “Don’t let all this nonsense get you down.”

Maybe Obama (yes, I do know how to spell his name) was "just" recognizing her talent (IIRC, he enjoys basketball). Again, maybe he realized that his comment would go public and he was dropping a hint to the racists and straight-people-haters to cool it.

iley Gaines, the host of "The Riley Gaines Show," torched USA Today writer Nancy Armour over her recent and controversial Caitlin Clark column.

In the opinion piece published earlier this week, Armour compared the lynching of Emmett Till to Caitlin Clark putting "Black" and "queer" WNBA players "in danger."

"It shouldn’t need reminding this country has an awful history of Black people being harmed, even killed, in the name of 'defending' White women. The irony of the WNBA's All-Star Game is that it's happening this weekend in Chicago, the hometown of Emmett Till, who became an icon of the civil rights movement after his tragic murder," Amour wrote.

Of all the bad takes about Clark, Gaines said Armour’s was the "worst one by a mile," adding that she was dumbfounded by the comparison.

"Do you realize what Nancy Armour is doing there? She's connecting Emmett Till's lynching to Caitlin Clark's talent and skill set and behavior on the basketball court. Excuse me?" Gaines said on a recent episode of "The Riley Gaines Show."

Gaines proceeded to call Armour an all-time "rage-baiter."

"Maybe it's just like all-time rage bait. Like dropping Emmett Till's name in an article about the WNBA All-Star game, that's got to be an all-time rage baiter. I don't know, maybe I'm falling for it. Maybe this is what Nancy Armor wanted," Gaines said.

Trying to defend the indefensible makes crazy "necessary".

An illegal immigrant has been charged with sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl at a daycare in Sacramento, California.

Gokhan Bagci, of Turkey, has been charged with sexually assaulting the young child after the incident allegedly took place in July 2025, when Bagci was working at the daycare in question, the Mather Childcare Center. The victim's mother reported that the illegal immigrant lured the young girl into a closet, supposedly to play hide-and-seek, but sexually assaulted the young girl instead.

Bagci has been removed from the US twice by Customs and Border Protection officials, once in November 2023 and again in September 2024, around a year before he was arrested.

The suit said that if the daycare had done a proper background check on Bagci, then “the abuse could and would have been prevented.”

“This criminal illegal alien is accused of sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl at the daycare where he worked,” said Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis. “He now faces charges of lewd and lascivious acts with a child. We are calling on Governor Gavin Newsom and his fellow sanctuary politicians to commit to not releasing this sicko from jail and to cooperate with ICE law enforcement.”

How bad was he that even LIEden's CBP deported him twice?

I wish I had confidence that Sacramento County will prosecute him fully and not try to help him evade re-re-deportation.

Sleazy House Democrat Ro Khanna (CA-17) is joining the New York City mayor’s call to have Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrested.

"The American president should arrest Netanyahu or [Russian President Vladimir] Putin in accordance with international law. Full stop," Khanna said. "America needs to cooperate with the ICC. It's a matter of human rights, and it's a matter of a rules-based international order."

Khanna argued that the United States should enforce the warrant if Netanyahu enters U.S. jurisdiction.

"If the ICC has an arrest warrant for someone, they should be arrested by America if they come into American jurisdiction. It's simple international law," Khanna said.
