Newsom: Investigated for What?

In an unusual move, Gavin Newsom has publicly announced that he is being investigated by federal law enforcement. Newsom made the announcement on Twitter ... . Notably missing from Newsom’s anti-Trump spiel was any suggestion as to what he supposedly is being investigated for:

The Department of Justice hasn’t confirmed whether Newsom is or is not being investigated, let alone for what. So maybe Gavin made the whole thing up, to boost his credibility with Democrats amid sagging poll numbers.

More likely, though, there is something to it. But what?

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) claimed Monday that President Donald Trump directed the Department of Justice (DOJ) to investigate him and his wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, but multiple reporters say the federal probe predates Trump’s return to office.

Despite Newsom’s claims, award-winning journalist Adam Housley said the investigation began during former President Joe Biden’s administration.

“The investigation has multiple arms. Some of it connected here in the Napa Valley,” Housley wrote. “It was first handled by agents from the Sacramento FBI, and I was told it was taken over by the San Francisco office.”

Separately, Shelby Talcott, a White House Correspondent for Semafor, reported that a source familiar with the matter described “several investigations” involving Newsom. According to Talcott, the inquiries are focused on Jennifer Siebel Newsom’s taxes and Newsom’s chief of staff. She further reported that the investigations originated in Sacramento and involve whistleblowers.

IMO, Noisome is doing two things:

1. Get ahead of the investigation via fauxny victim-playing publicity; the MSM will likely parrot rather than fact-check his victim-playing shtick;

2. Boost the credibility of his victim-playing charade by invoking Bogey-Trump.

MLB Continues Shameful Anti-Christian Crusade—Threatens Players Over Bible Verses on 'Pride Night' Caps

In yet another display of its ongoing war on Christian faith, Major League Baseball has issued an official warning to three San Francisco Giants pitchers who dared to write Bible verses on their Pride Night caps.

And by 'warning' we mean threat, because what follows a warning in sports? Most likely a fine. Or, you know, as per Rule 3.03 of the official MLB Rulebook, a non-conforming player can be barred from participating in the game.

While the league under Commissioner Rob Manfred eagerly green-lights rainbow alterations and perpetually bows to the LGBT alphabet mafia, it is drawing a firm line at players subtly referencing God’s word.

According to The Athletic, MLB is putting its collective foot down after San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Landen Roupp and two of his teammates dared to add Bible verses to their 'Pride Night' caps. Bible verses, mind you, that explain the true symbolism of the rainbow—God's covenant with Noah, his descendants, and every living creature after the great flood.

"Similar behavior will not be tolerated," the report ominously reads.

Here is a quote of Genesis 9:12-16:

12 And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations: 13 I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 When I bring clouds over the earth and the bow is seen in the clouds, 15 I will remember my covenant that is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh. MLB is not doing as well as it was 40 or 60 years ago. In-your-facing a significant % of fans and then publicly doubling down to threaten mild protests against that move is "wisdom" that eludes me. In the same vein, telling players, "Your faith OR your career," might have consequences not intended by MLB manglement. I wonder if SF Giants' management//manglement will support their players or MLB manglement on this issue.

Lawsuit filed over rules aimed at Colorado gun dealer records

The Colorado State Shooting Association (CSSA) announced the legal challenge at a June 12 press conference, holding the announcement in the district represented by Senator Tom Sullivan, who CSSA identifies as a chief proponent of Colorado’s ongoing gun rights restrictions. The filing marks the third recent constitutional challenge CSSA has brought against Colorado gun laws.

The impetus for the lawsuit is House Bill 26-1126, signed into law by Governor Polis earlier this month. The law expands record-keeping requirements for firearms dealers and authorizes the Department of Revenue (DOR) to access transaction records maintained by federally licensed gun dealers (FFLs).

Critics say the law contains virtually no guardrails on access.

“There is virtually no limit on where, when, or how many times records may be demanded or for what purpose they may be used,” said David Price, the attorney representing CSSA, describing the law’s reach in legal filings.

CSSA President Ray Elliott was equally critical. “This law authorizes government agents to access sensitive firearm ownership records without a warrant, without probable cause, and without any requirement to justify the search,” said Elliot. “The Constitution does not permit the government to treat every law-abiding firearm owner as a suspect. We believe HB26-1126 violates fundamental protections guaranteed by both the Second and Fourth Amendments, and we are prepared to see this fight through.”

Gun dealers are so EEEeeeeee-vile that they do not deserve Constitutional rights.

Person of interest in Grant Park cross burning incident in custody, police say

A person of interest is in custody in connection with a cross found burning in Chicago's popular Grant Park last week, police confirmed to NBC Chicago Tuesday.

The latest development comes just hours after NBC 5 Investigates identified a 21-year-old college senior who said he is the person in the photo released by police and who described what he did and why. It was not immediately clear if the person in custody was the same man interviewed by NBC 5 Investigates, however for several days, authorities said they were only searching for one person of interest.

In his interview with NBC Chicago's Chuck Goudie, University of Illinois Chicago senior Merlin Lu said he knew the implications of a burning cross and had placed a MAGA hat atop the cross, explaining his motivation was to protest Trump administration injustice - not something racist.

"How did you land on a burning cross?" Goudie asked.

"Just it came up to my head one day," Lu said. "I wanted to find something that I could do by myself, like no organization, no friends…”

"I did know about this historical relevance beforehand, but I didn't know the severity, how racially motivated it may seem from what I did," he said. "Cause my protest has nothing to do with race, nothing to with gender.”

  Lu is not the White Supremacist MAGA Progs seek.
