Trump fumes over media's coverage of Reflecting Pool renovation

https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/trump-fumes-over-medias-coverage-reflecting-pool-overhaul

Quote
President Donald Trump fumed Friday over the media's coverage of his renovation of the Reflecting Pool, between the Lincoln and World War II memorials on the National Mall, in Washington, D.C.

"The Great Reflecting Pool ...  just opened to 'rave reviews' but, maliciously or not, some say, like The Washington Post, it was a 'paint job.' This was not a paint job," he posted on Truth Social.

The pool was built in the early 1920s and has had continuing problems with cracks, leaks and algae bloom.

"This was highly sophisticated material, industrial strength, that could last for 100 years, applied by very talented people, ... The material is thick, strong, flexible, and has a natural, beautiful color, the dark blue of the American Flag!

Proggies have been playing deceitful games with this, posting work-in-progress pictures as finished, claiming Obama had fixed it and work was not necessary, and even quibbling how dark the blue color is.

Platner supporter Khanna calls Senate hopeful's past relationships 'toxic,' but says he deserves 'redemption'

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/platner-supporter-khanna-calls-senate-hopefuls-past-relationships-toxic-says-he-deserves-redemption

Quote
BAR HARBOR, Maine — Graham Platner's past relationships were "toxic and volatile," Rep. Ro Khanna of California said of the Senate Democratic candidate aiming to unseat longtime Republican Sen. Susan Collins in one of this year's most crucial ballot box showdowns.

But Khanna, a progressive leader from California who, along with Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, is backing Platner, argued in a Fox News Digital interview Friday night that Platner is "taking accountability" for his past and "we need that redemption in this country."

Platner, the military combat veteran and oyster farmer considered the Democrats' presumptive nominee ahead of Tuesday's primary in Maine, has been playing defense amid multiple controversies, ranging from inflammatory online comments made on Reddit, a well-publicized and covered-up tattoo on his chest that resembled a Nazi symbol and new allegations this week from ex-girlfriends of a history of rape fantasies, heavy drinking and violent episodes.

1. Khanna is an unprincipled partisan tool.

2. This sort of "redemption" should start with Platner ceasing the behaviors - e.g. getting off the perv-tolerant hook-up app - and then be followed by several years of appropriate behavior (e.g. Trump's 10 years of being faithful to Melania for over 10 years before being elected President).

Brianna Turner Says WNBA Should Not Wear ‘USA 250’ Patches Due to History of Slavery

WNBA star Brianna Turner criticized the league after a report surfaced that players would wear patches in honor of the United States’s 250th anniversary for the All-Star game, stating that “no WNBA players would have been free 250 years ago.”

“Whoever called for the WNBA all star uniforms to have the USA 250 patch should have thought that through considering no WNBA players would have been free 250 years ago,” Turner, a forward for the Las Vegas Aces wrote in a post on X. “The majority wouldn’t even have their freedom 100 years ago.”

Turner’s criticism came after a report from Sportico revealed that “multiple people familiar with the plans” said the WNBA was planning to have USA 250 patches “added to jerseys during its All-Star Game” that is set to take place in late July in Chicago./quote]

It would be nice if someone in WNBA manglement had the courage to remind this victim-playing race-baiter that slavery ended in the US ~160 years ago, and that 160 is much more than half of 250. That won't happen, of course.
