Me: I'll allow keeping 1 illegal if we deport 2 leftists in exchange.

Random Guy: You don't even know what a leftist is.

Me: No nation can tax its way to prosperity.

RG: Apart from displaying your absolute economic illiteracy I don't know what that has to do with anything.

Me: Found a leftist.

Honestly, you could have stopped after the first response. That "You don't know what a leftist is" reply signals that this random guy felt attacked by the opening statement. The leftist had self-outed at that point. :-)

After that retort to your "No nation can tax its way to prosperity", I would have responded "since you apparently ARE an economic SOOPER genius, could you kindly provide me with an example of any occurrence of taxation that resulted in prosperity to anyone?"
