It’s really amazing how different we are. I’ve never once cried because of our president’s “crap”, but that does NOT mean that a male fictional spirit-guide never cries. Let me tell you a crying situation for this fictional spirit-guide.
Several years back I had a long time friend who was also a Korean War veteran. His wife and family asked me to be a pallbearer, and I agreed. Now, I was truly sad that my friend died, but I also realize that dying is one aspect of living so I can always keep my emotions in check. This case was no different. I was standing behind the flag draped coffin with the other pallbearers looking like the perfect stoic fictional spirit-guide. Then the song Taps start playing and they began folding the flag from the coffin. The entire time that happened I had tears running down my cheeks.
The tears weren’t really for my friend. The tears were because during that segment of the funeral the realization hit me that we are able to do things like have a peaceful funeral for a family member or friend AND you are able to post stupid BS crap on a website of hate-filled anti-American idiots like DU because of all of the sacrifices made through the years by the men and women who have served under that very flag. I cried in awe and appreciation of what came before. You cried because you’re a petulant child who didn’t get its way. We are so, so different.
