Did a 'New' Arrest Just Puncture Lemon's 'Journalism' Defense?

https://hotair.com/ed-morrissey/2026/02/06/did-a-new-arrest-just-puncture-lemons-journalism-defense-n3811629

Quote
Just when did Don Lemon get involved in the plan to invade a church and terrorize its parishioners during worship services? Lemon insists he didn't plan it at all, but only came along to report on the event. Prosecutors point to portions of his own video stream as evidence that he acted in concert with the radicals who violated the FACE and Ku Klux Klan Acts at Cities Church in Minnesota.

A relatively new development might tilt the playing field toward conviction:

Quote
“Developing — a new federal arrest is drawing attention to what prosecutors say was Don Lemon's role in planning and recording the disturbing protest of demonstrators storming that Minnesota church service.

A Temple University student has now surrendered on federal charges admitting he helped Don Lemon with logistics and local contacts ahead of that anti-ICE protest — Court records and social media posts show Richardson describing himself as assisting Don Lemon in the days leading up to the protest — Prosecutors say this new arrest undercuts that defense, suggesting planning and not just passive coverage.”

The article points out that "admitted" may be somewhat of an over-statement, but it was at least circumstantial evidence, and even that kind of ecidence can pile up to the point of being compelling.

New York Teacher Has a Very Communist Solution for Keeping Businesses in the Big Apple

Let's see how things are going in the communist utopia of New York, a month after Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani was sworn in as mayor. Nearly two weeks after a massive winter storm hit the Big Apple, mountains of garbage line the still snow-covered streets (but not around Gracie Mansion, of course), and at least a dozen homeless people have frozen to death after Mamdani refused to force them into warming shelters despite the bitter cold. There were also blackouts, which is great when it's freezing outside.

Oh, and the number of antisemitic incidents in the city has skyrocketed, and Mamdani is siding with criminals who try to kill cops.

Add to that his advisors, who are racist and oppose private home ownership, plus a progressive tax plan that will seize wealth from New Yorkers, and it's a recipe for a mass exodus from the city.

But for one commie New York teacher, the solution to stopping businesses and wealthy New Yorkers from leaving the city is just to...seize the business and make it illegal to leave (some of us would call that "imprisonment").

~~~ Video attached for your perusal ~~~
Quote
"That's what I would say, we should take their business. And we run it, like the city ourselves," the teacher, identified as Charles Berry, said. "I mean, they can't leave the building; they can't just bring their entire workforce to Florida. They can't bring all of the resources that they have to build a business here to Florida."
Yes, actually, they can. Does this guy really think that when a business moves, it takes the building with it? That it takes the employees with it? They may offer to help the employees relocate, but often times they just lay the employees off and rehire staff in the new state.
"And that's where you would even say we're building a real movement to stop that," Berry continued, "we'd also make it illegal for them to actually leave. We would fine them to hell if they're going to try to abandon their property here. Cause clearly people do need to work, people do need to make a living."
Berry is a New York Public Schools teacher, so while kids in the Big Apple can't read, write, or do math, they can think government can hold businesses hostage.
And Mamdani wants a massive corporate tax hike and a better "redistribution of wealth" in his city, so he's aligned with guys like Berry.
Wow, this clip is illustrative of how freaking brain dead communists think.
Forcing business owners and workers to work for the state? How Nazi-like (unlike Lenin and Stalin, Hitler forced business owners to do his bidding rather than killing them). Bery really does not know how the large businesses he hates operate. Their operations are mostly outside of the State of New York. As to smaller businesses, if the State of New York tries to seize their businesses, the owners can leave the state with enough knowledge and even assets to kill their business. Either way, the State of New York would end up with buildings empty except for office furniture and maybe some unusable machines.
Teachers’ Union Loses, Idaho Keeps Its School Choice Credit
https://pjmedia.com/catherinesalgado/2026/02/06/teachers-union-loses-idaho-keeps-its-school-choice-credit-n4949190
Quote
The state of Idaho just won its case to keep its new school choice system, despite union pressure on behalf of failed public schools.
Idaho’s School Choice Tax Credit will move forward, and families who have applied will receive the tax credit, the state’s attorney general announced in a Feb. 5 press release. The program allots up to $5,000 per student or $7,500 for those with specific disabilities for refundable tax credits, which the students can use for tuition, tutoring, and other qualifying educational purposes, even for private and homeschool students. Because this empowers students who wish to seek educational alternatives, public school devotees loathe it.
Attorney General Raúl Labrador, however, celebrated the decision as a victory for students and parents within his state. No, children do not have to be trapped within the woke cesspool of public school education. “Today’s decision confirms that Idaho’s constitutional requirement to maintain a system of public schools does not prevent the Idaho Legislature from doing more to expand educational opportunities,” Labrador stated.
He added, “The Court rejected the Petitioner’s restrictive reading of the legislature’s power to legislate education matters. This ruling is a victory for Idaho families. It affirms their freedom to choose the educational path that best fits their children’s needs and futures.” The teachers’ unions never consult the good of children when it comes to their decision-making. They are only concerned with their own profit.
Petitioners in the case that wanted to ax the program included the Idaho Education Association, the Latah County school district, and the Committee to Protect and Preserve the Idaho Constitution. They argued unsuccessfully that the state constitution prohibited taxpayer funds from going to any schools but public schools and that the tax credit does not serve the public interest.
The unions' argument was probably based on the bigoted and probably unconstitutional "Blaine Amendment" that got included in some states' constitution. It was an anti-Catholic-schools measure.
MSNOW Dropped a Voter ID Truth Bomb on Schumer, and He Totally Choked
https://pjmedia.com/matt-margolis/2026/02/06/msnow-dropped-a-voter-id-truth-bomb-on-schumer-and-he-totally-choked-n4949193
Quote
Chuck Schumer found himself in an awkward spot this week when confronted with polling data that completely undercut his attack on voter ID laws. The Senate Minority Leader appeared on MSNOW's Morning Joe on Thursday to discuss the GOP-backed SAVE Act, which would require proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections. What followed was the exemplification of political discomfort.
Advertisement
Earlier in the week, CNN's chief analyst Harry Enten dropped some numbers that should make Democrats rethink their messaging on election security. Voter ID requirements enjoy overwhelming bipartisan support, with approval ratings consistently above 75% across demographics. "You'll notice on all of it, it's all north of 75% percent — 76%, 76%, 76%, 81%, and then 83% in the last year of Americans agree with Nicki Minaj," Enten explained. "They favor photo ID to be able to vote."
...
“Here's a new Pew Research poll, that 95% of Republicans, but also 71% of Democrats, like this idea,” host Jonathan Lemire told Schumer regarding Voter ID. “So why do you not?”
After a brief but incredibly awkward pause, Schumer, armed with no explanation, just launched into his talking points.
“Uh, it’s Jim Crow 2.0. And I called it Jim Crow 2.0, and blah, lie, blah, lie, blah, lie ...”
When MesS NOW tells Chuckles he's losing, he's really losing!
Kamala Harris unveils “Headquarters 67” to mobilize Gen Z through a new digital media hub
Quote
More than a year after her loss to Donald Trump in the 2024 U.S. presidential election, Kamala Harris is stepping back into the digital spotlight. Harris is helping launch a media project aimed at young Americans. The initiative rebrands her popular 2024 campaign accounts into a new online hub called Headquarters 67.
Harris announced Thursday that she is partnering with the liberal advocacy group People For the American Way to relaunch KamalaHQ as Headquarters. The project will focus on Gen Z audiences and youth political engagement.
The renamed accounts already bring a large following. The X account, now called @headquarters_67, has about 1.1 million followers. The TikTok account, @headquarters, has roughly 5.4 million followers. The group also plans to expand to YouTube, Substack, and other platforms. The X bio includes a pointed message. It reads, “Elon wouldn’t give us @headquarters.” The line nods to platform owner Elon Musk.
In a launch video posted on X, Harris described Headquarters as a place for connection and information. She said young people can use it to follow current events and hear from leaders across many fields.
She and her handlers seriously are trying to stay relevant by rebranding with a brainrot meme that was the most annoying thing on the internet for it's 15 minutes of fame?  I can hear the conversation now.....
"How can we attract young people to our social media accounts?  Quick, Google what's popular with kids right now."
"Six seven seems to be at the top of the search results."
"Six seven? Ok, sounds good.  Name the accounts that, and bring in the margarita machine."
Houston transplant doctor indicted for making false statements in patients’ medical records
https://www.justice.gov/usao-sdtx/pr/houston-transplant-doctor-indicted-making-false-statements-patients-medical-records
Quote
HOUSTON – A 66-year-old Houston physician has been charged with falsifying medical records which made potential transplant recipients ineligible for organ donations, announced U.S. Attorney Nicholas J. Ganjei.
John Stevenson Bynon Jr. has now surrendered to federal authorities and is set for his initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Dena H. Palermo at 2 p.m.
According to the indictment, returned Jan. 14, Bynon was Director of Abdominal Organ Transplantation and Surgical Director for Liver Transplantation at Memorial Hermann Health System’s Texas Medical Center in Houston. Under his care, patients were allegedly activated on the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) liver transplant waitlist while awaiting an organ donation.
The charges allege that even though patients should have been able to receive donations through UNOS, Bynon made false statements in their medical records which rendered them functionally ineligible for a donation. Patients, their families, and other members of their medical care team, were unaware of the false information, according to court documents. Many patients allegedly remained ineligible for months without knowing they could not receive donor organ offers during that time.
Quote
Of the five patients detailed in an indictment made public on Thursday, three died and two others were able to get liver transplants at different hospitals.
No word at this point why he did this.
Single tip triggers massive California human trafficking bust with more than 600 arrests
https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/single-tip-triggers-massive-california-174147388.html
Quote
A single tip about a quiet suburban home in California exploded into a massive human trafficking takedown that rescued nearly 20 children, uncovered residential brothels and netted more than 600 arrests statewide, authorities said Tuesday.
The week-long operation, dubbed Operation Reclaim and Rebuild, involved dozens of agencies and led to the rescue of 12 adults and five children in Los Angeles County alone, officials said during a news conference.
Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said the entire investigation began with a single citizen complaint about a suspicious home in Walnut. That tip led to months of surveillance and the discovery of multiple trafficking locations in nearby suburban neighborhoods.
Among the 611 total arrests were suspected traffickers and hundreds of sex buyers, though authorities have not yet said how many will face felony human trafficking charges versus lesser solicitation offenses.
...
"We have traffickers that are putting barely teenage girls on the streets of Los Angeles to be victimized, repeatedly, over and over again," said LAPD Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton. "These children did not come from one place. They came from Chicago, from Oklahoma, from Missouri, tribal lands... and from communities right here in the state of California."
I wonder how many of the traffickers also face possible deportation. I'm guessing the number is greater than zero.
Not threadworthy, but worth asking.  I'm not finding any evidence of people outside the US "going down hard" for being in the files.  Am I missing something, or is this just braindead celeb virtue signalling/pot stirring?
There are people - in the US and elsewhere - whose relations with Epstein are being investigated. There are a couple examples in this thread, https://conservativecave.com/cave/index.php?topic=138227.0 . Here, https://conservativecave.com/cave/index.php?topic=138235.msg1571850#msg1571850 . Here, https://conservativecave.com/cave/index.php?topic=138275.msg1572080#msg1572080 . I saw an article about this yesterday but didn't post it, https://www.cnn.com/2026/01/31/politics/steve-tisch-giants-owner-epstein-files .
The vast majority will show they did/said nothing shady and will move on. Epstein was a professional networker, making connections for/between business people and thereby earning finder's fees, so he "collected" people. He buttered people up, exaggerated his degrees of friendship, made up gossipy :bouncy:-fiction, for fun and profit.
There has been no lack of US people having to explain Epstein connections, some of which are at least suggestive or shady. I haven't seen recent similar rumblings from EuroLand, but I assume there are some.
What has SherylCrow POed is that for all the mentions of Trump, none of them are as shady/criminal as she fantasizes they "should" be.  :rotf:  :loser: Poor baby. :loser:  :rotf:
Epstein's professional networking business and his private perversion peddling have intersected, resulting in, I would guess, hundreds or thousands of people he cultivated for the networking business getting checked for possible involvement in the perversion. SherylCrow's Trump-Hatred blinds her to the scope of Epstein's connections cultivation - thousand of people - and to that fact that the vast majority of Epstein's connections were not involved in the perversions. She will not admit that there are no Gotcha-Trumps to be had in Epstein's materials, no matter how fruitless the digging and rooting (which LIEden's minions already did, BTW).
