After a full year of both parties seizing the Epstein Files monkey's paw, the effort to get full transparency has at last come to a conclusion ... at least as defined by Congress. Deputy AG Todd Blanche released the full inventory of material related to Jeffrey Epstein, totaling 3 million pages, 180,000 images, and 2,000 videos. That will give internet sleuths plenty of material to peruse, although the redactions mandated by Congress will likely frustrate them:

The files fulfill the DOJ’s obligations under the law Congress passed last year to compel the release, Blache said. It includes 2,000 videos and 180,000 images.

The tranche comes more than a month after the Trump administration blew past the Dec. 19 statutory deadline for DOJ to make public all of the materials in its possession related to the federal Epstein investigation.

That's because the statutory deadline demanded by Congress was absurd, considering the scope of this project. The DoJ could have met that deadline had Congress not also required the investigators to review all of the material and redact any data that could identify the victims. That, however, was never considered a viable option, since the big push for releasing the material came from victims and their families, joined at various times by Republicans and Democrats for political motives of their own.

Congress's law had conditions that guaranteed "failure" to meet the deadline.

Marius Borg Høiby, 29, was taken into custody on Sunday night and is accused of assault, making threats with a knife, and violating a restraining order, according to Norwegian police.

The Oslo district court ruled Monday that Høiby would be kept in kail for up to four weeks, with the princess’ eldest son still expected to attend trial on Tuesday for a number of charges, including the rape of four women.

”Hi Jeff, I was at dinner last night with Dean Stohle= [sic] and Dr. Letty Moss-Salentijn who was Karyna’s mentor and did =he [sic] most to help her get in and finish up dental school. Dr. Moss Salentijn=is [sic] involved in Haptech development for the school. A donation gift/of $450,000 would be appreciated if you can make a donat=n [sic]. I think you should do this for Dr. Salentijn and the school. Thanks Jef= [sic]. Call me to discuss.”

The $450,000 ask came from Dr. Thomas J. Magnani D.D.S., a Manhattan dentist identified by Columbia University as a member of its College of Dental Medicine’s Board of Advisors. Six years prior to the email, Magnani apparently coordinated with Epstein and top Columbia officials to get Epstein’s girlfriend Karyna Shuliak admitted to the university’s dental school.

My emphasis. I don't know how "F" Epstein's "GF" was - nor want to - but Columbia did this entirely legal quid pro quo deal knowing what Epstein was.

The World Economic Forum has launched an independent investigation into its CEO Borge Brende to clarify his relationship with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the organization said Thursday.

I won't guesstimate percentages, but I'm pretty sure many more will have their Epstein connections checked and found harmless than those whose connections were shady or worse.

The Mark 14 also ran something like 10 feet deeper than it was set. The big scandal, IMO, is that boat commanders (e.g. LtC Dan Daspit in USS Tinosa) and ComSubPac Admiral Lockwood had to ram their findings down BuOrd's throat and come up with work-arounds while waiting for fixes.

And while its mission was to provide victims of sexual assault with financial and legal assistance, the organization seemed to spend more time advocating for A-listers like Reese Witherspoon and Emma Stone to get bigger paydays. (Mark Wahlberg gave a $1.5 million donation in Michelle Williams’ name following revelations of a massive pay gap for the reshoots of the film “All the Money in the World.”) What started out as righteousness ended in scandal, and Time’s Up was forced to cease operating in 2023 after it was revealed that the organization had advised former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo how to counter sexual harassment allegations against him.

But the power grab appears to have been even more craven than previously known. Documents in the Epstein Files suggest that Time’s Up leaders may have been actively engaging with Jeffrey Epstein’s inner circle in a bid to launder his disgraced image. The scandalous ploy involved LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, former director of the MIT Media Lab Joichi “Joi” Ito, Steve Bannon and (perhaps most notably to the town) CAA board member and chief innovation officer Michelle Kydd Lee – who now goes by Michelle Kydd.

The Department of Justice belatedly released a massive trove of documents related to child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein last month. The documents provide damning insights into the dead pedophile as well as his network of former business associates and friends.

One of the affluent individuals whose name comes up repeatedly in the Epstein files is Thomas Pritzker — cousin of Democratic Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker — who has served as executive chairman of the Hyatt Hotels Corporation since August 2004.

The 75-year-old billionaire revealed to the board of the hotel chain on Monday that he was retiring, effective immediately, to protect Hyatt from the fallout of his relationship with the dead pedophile.

In his letter to the board, which was reviewed by the New York Times, Pritzker said that "good stewardship also means protecting Hyatt, particularly in the context of my association with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, which I deeply regret."

To be clear - for the sake of malicious DU onlurkers - most of the people being ensnared by the Epstein files are people who had financial deals with him, had normal social interactions, or were people about whom Epstein collected new and tried cold-call interactions for his non-criminal businesses. The worst situations, such as Pritzker or Whoopster or Obama's former WH Counsel was continuing their chumminess after Epstein's first conviction, i.e. when they should have known what kind of slime he was.
