Ah talk at coffee shop
Advertisements [?]Morgan Stanley has an office right by the place where I at times go to get some coffee and write in the morning

So I am in line and this trader is there, young kid, barely out of college... I had to get away from the teevee.... I expected the crash... but it is like when you expect a relative who's been sick for years to die, it is still shocking nonetheless

So the kid, he is in his 20s, is complaining about Obama... I know unbelievable.

I said... well come November you have two choices

You can elect McHoover or the other guy

He turns and says... what that damn democrat?

Tell me kid, where is your company right now? He looked shocked (Yes he was carrying the binder with the training materials, he's a new hire)

I will not be too shocked if YOU get a pink slip by the end of the week, dropped 30% in the course of the morning....

He looks even more shocked

Then he said, but his plan to tax all of us...

BULLSHIT... McHoover will keep us on this disastrous course, and will assure ANOTHER great depression. And unless YOU are in the top 5%, assuming you have a job come November, you will get a tax cut. Now you can choose to vote for McHoover, and go through another great depression, or vote your economic interest.

He then said... it is McCain

BULLSHIT, when he quotes President Hoover in the midst of the Great Depression in 1930... he fits the monicker, he IS McHoover and you think Palin will be able to do a thing to correct any of this if she should inherit the mess?

The kid's face had that look of wheels grinding to a halt... at which point I gave him my parting shot... IT IS THE ECONOMY STUPID... you can choose to vote the economy or be stupid about it.

The folks behind the counter where just chucking away... I know nervous laughter... and all, but still

Extra points for typing out an imaginary conversation, maybe Obama's rise in the polls is going to produce better bouncy tales.

the messi-uh's plan for the economy? BIGGER GOVERNMENT -- MORE GOVERNMENT -- MORE INTRUSIVE GOVERNMENT.

That has worked in the past, right?

SO, too bad she wasn't drunk when she typed this.  She's hilarious when inebriated!  Plus, she's an authority, authority I tell you, on all things military.  Just ask her.

And after he taxes that income?  We'll see the "Change" he speaks of, no $$$$.

Anyone who actually believes Hussein when he says he's going to only tax the top 5% is so far off their rocker there's no reason to even try and talk to them about it.

I guess they are ignoring the fact that he's going to raise the payroll tax as well.

That will largely affect small business owners.

You know...those that aren't in the "top 5%".

Not too bad. She got in the "So", she recounted an imaginary conversation without using those telltale quotation marks, her wisdom was quick and overwhelming, she converted a repuke (wheels grinding to a halt), and she got appreciative chuckles from bystanders.

If she had added cops and bushes, she would have been sniffed out as a mole. She deserves consideration for a bong.

Umm...DUmbshit...brokerage firms can and do make money even when markets are going down. :whatever: Morgan Stanley doesn't start handing out pink slips because the market is down for a couple of days :hammer: and even if it did, this young man is in his 20's and sounds like he has his head on straight so he'll get and stay employed again and probably be doing better then you could ever imagine and in a down market no less. These idiots tick me off when they start applying the ML and Lehman Bros. situations to every other firm.  :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer:

BTW, I thought all brokers were rich and priveleged too...how did some kid get in just starting out?  :lmao: DUmbasses!

Yawn.
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

Spread my work ethic, not my wealth.

Forget change, bring back common sense.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

I would give it .5 bongs if only she had used quote marks for the pretend conversation.
