The Story of the Dem Who Texted with Epstein During Hearing Just Got a Lot More Sordid

https://pjmedia.com/robert-spencer/2025/11/30/the-story-of-the-dem-who-texted-with-epstein-during-hearing-has-gotten-a-lot-more-sordid-n4946577

Delegate Stacey Plaskett, a non-voting member of Congress from the Virgin Islands, shot to fame several weeks ago, when it came to light that during a Congressional hearing in Feb. 2019, she was exchanging texts with none other than Jeffrey Epstein, and even asking him for direction about how to conduct her questioning of Trump's executive assistant, Rhona Graff. To be taking advice from Jeffrey Epstein would be sordid enough for a lifetime, but Plaskett’s story has just gotten a good deal odder and sleazier than that.

The Daily Wire reported Sunday, with a matter-of-factness that is positively breathtaking under the circumstances, that Plaskett “had ‘private nude images’ of her stolen by her own ex-staffers, who used them to attempt to sabotage her re-election campaign. The husband of one of the culprits was, like Epstein, later found dead.” With all that going on, what’s a little texting with Jeffrey Epstein?

It all started, apparently, innocently enough back in March 2016, when Plaskett’s iPhone wasn’t working properly, and she asked one of her staffers, a certain Juan R. McCullum, to repair it. While he had possession of the respected delegate’s phone, McCullum availed himself of the opportunity to see what she was up to in her off hours, and he struck paydirt: “After snooping around,” says the Daily Wire, “McCullum found nude images and videos, including one of her husband naked and wearing makeup while their young child was in the room.” Oh, dear.

1. There doesn't seem to be any direct Epstein involvement in this kerfuffle, but it does suggest the Plaskett and Epstein were birds of similar feather.

2. Sounds like some of Plaskett's staff were less than happy with her.

Enviros Went Wild: COP30 Locusts Leave Belém Precisely How You'd Think

How would one expect climate-change activists to treat a venue deep in the heart of the Amazon? Hint: It helps to recall that the same activists clear-cut a four-lane highway through "tens of thousands of acres of protected rainforest" to slightly reduce the transit time between the airport and the COP30 conference. No, really:

As the BBC reported in March, Brazil cut a gash in the rain forest for a highway that would "ease traffic" into Belém, the host city for COP30. The Lula da Silva government attempted to justify the destruction of the ecosystem by highligting the use of "solar lighting" and the presence of "cycle paths." Organizers also declared that the summit would eventually result in "cleaner air," even though (a) the construction project burned plenty of emissions, (b) the highway would support traffic emitting even more particulate pollution, while (c) destroying the trees that produce oxygen.

And as I pointed out at the time, Belém didn't need the highway in the first place. Brazil built it for the comfort of the environmental activists who planned to show up last month to lecture the world about dispensing with their own comforts:
...
The prologue is sadly necessary to explain the epilogue. The COP30 summit concluded a week ago. How did the climate activists improve the life and environment of Belém? Exactly how you'd expect 56,000 narcissists to perform:

Embedded X post showing a pic of garbage from Belem and COP30

Belem isn't a super-major city like Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paulo, but it is a significant city (1.3 million people). Holding COP30 there was Enviro-Virtue-Signaling hypocrisy. The $$$$ for the highway and other amenities would have been better spent on sanitary landfills, water traetment facilities, and sewage treatment facilities for the city! Meanwhile, the conference would have been better held on Zoom or some other online video-conferencing platform!

15 Shot, 4 Dead - 3 of Them Children - and the Vice Mayor of Stockton Only Has a #Sadz

There was an actual 'mass shooting' in Stockton, California, Saturday night.

Here it is, only Monday, and it's already faded from the front page of the liberal media. CNN has nothing more about it. NBC News is talking about a shooting, but it's what seems to be a sympathetic article about the 'struggles' of the unit the Afghan assassin who killed our National Guardsmen in Washington belonged to.
...
How are progressives always on the wrong side, or take no side at all, when the facts are too ugly for their narrative?

This seems to be the case with the shooting in Stockton, an indiscriminate, savage slaughter of human beings and young lives if ever there was one, and yet?
...
What we heard first on Saturday evening, while watching the football games, was that a child's birthday party in Stockton - a CHILD'S birthday party - was well underway Saturday night at an event center next to a Dairy Queen when gunfire and mayhem broke out.
...
And it wasn't party-goers who began shooting at each other...for once.

Then it seemed someone had rolled on up and sprayed the venue with bullets.

A child's birthday party - knowing children were there.
...
Sheriff's deputies found more evidence that this wasn't a random act by one individual but might well have been a coordinated attack that had indeed begun inside the hall.
...
Well, didn't the ugly truth that looks like it's been hanging around Stockton's neck for the longest time pop out soon enough on Sunday.

The two-year-old was the child of a local Filipino 'ganster' rapper who also happens to be a member of one of the established Filipino Crips gangs in town.

This mass shooting (FBI term, 4 dead) doesn't fit the MSM narrative - shooter(s) aren't "white" and are gang-types, CA has some of the nation's most stringent anti-gun laws, which didn't hinder this shooting - so token coverage.

Kremlin Says Ukrainian Strike on CPC Terminal Was Outrageous Given its International Importance

MOSCOW, Dec 1 (Reuters) – The Kremlin said on Monday that a Ukrainian weekend attack on Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) infrastructure was outrageous given its international significance and international participation.

The CPC project, which includes Russian, Kazakh and U.S. shareholders, said on Saturday that one of the three mooring points at its Novorossiysk terminal in Russia had been damaged by a Ukrainian drone attack and that operations had been halted.

In a call with reporters, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the Ukrainian attack “outrageous” and also criticized Ukrainian sea drone attacks on oil tankers in the Black Sea, something he said was an assault on the interests of Turkey and the ships’ owners.

1. Poor babies.

2. Oil is fungible. It could fuel Russian military equipment. It could fuel Russian civilians who feed and supply Russian military occupiers. It could be sold outside of Russia for money that will feed and supply Russian military occupiers.

3. Poor babies.

4. The non-Russian investors in this oil terminal and in Russian "shadow" tankers know these facilities and ships fuel, directly and/or indirectly, Russia's attempt to conquer Ukraine.

5. Poor babies.
