Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem discusses ICE operations in Twin Cities on Friday

https://kstp.com/kstp-news/top-news/noem-to-talk-ice-operations-in-twin-cities-on-friday/

Quote
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem talked Friday afternoon about immigration operations nationwide and highlighted a few people here, including a man from Mexico and one from El Salvador, who she said were serious criminals and were arrested and taken off the street in the Twin Cities area.

“Under the leadership of Mayor Frey, under the leadership of Gov. Walz, more violent crimes are being perpetuated in these communities because of their refusal to defend American citizens,” Noem said during the press conference. “Regardless, our federal officers, our ICE officers, ERO, HSI and partnership with our Department of Justice, agencies and other individuals throughout the federal government, we will continue to do the work to make sure these criminals are removed from our communities.”
...1.
“It’s up to the president on if he believes the National Guard should be deployed to any situation in any city across our country, but we do have an increase in federal officers that will be coming,” said Noem. “We had a bill pass through Congress that allocated 10,000 new ICE officers to us across the country, we have received over 175,00 applicants for those jobs.”

She explained the first 1,200 to 1,500 of those new officers are already working in field offices, while thousands more are expected to be deployed in the next week or two.2.
...
According to Noem, more than 4,300 people have been removed from the streets of Minnesota since Jan. 1. She said 3,316 of those individuals had a criminal history.

“The individuals that have been arrested and removed have had crimes and charges against them such as murder, assaults, homicides, robberies, carjackings and shootings,” said Noem.3.

1. ABC Skews cited crime figures chosen the make Trump's and ICE's actions look like tyrannous over-reactions. The context not given is that the stats are filtered by city and state officials and police higher-ups and are likely to have been doctored through under-charging and under-reporting serious crimes (something WashDC did so blatantly that "street"-level officers got so sick of it that they risked their careers by blowing the whistle on WashPD MisLeaders). "Laundering" fudged data through the FBI doesn't un-fudge the data.

2. Several thousand new ICE officers being deployed by the end of October? That should be scary to Dems and illegals, :-) .

3. DU-grade Progs would want to use "just" 70%-75% having criminal records as evidence ICE is not tightly focused on finding, detaining, and deporting criminals. IRL illegals who are criminals don't isolate themselves from communities that speak their language. Thus, those they are likely to hang out with will include others illegally present who do not have criminal records, who sometimes will be caught when those with criminal records are caught. IOW that 70%-75% stat evidences the tightness ICE's focus, i.e. only 25%-30% of those detained are illegals who do not have criminal records.

Katie Porter’s Ex Just Broke His Silence And… Yikes!

https://pjmedia.com/matt-margolis/2025/10/26/katie-porters-ex-reveals-how-horrible-she-really-is-n4945271

Katie Porter wants to be California's next governor, but her ex-husband has some thoughts about that. Matthew Hoffman, who divorced Porter in 2013 after a decade of marriage, told the New York Post that his former spouse is a "master manipulator" with a nasty temper who has no business leading the Golden State.

Hoffman, 50, told the New York Post that his ex-wife is the last person who should be leading California. Pointing to the recently leaked video clips exposing Porter’s explosive temper and her nasty treatment of both staffers and journalists, he didn’t hold back. “It’s about time,” he said, welcoming the long-overdue exposure of her behavior

“The amount of staff she goes through. The horrible things that she says [about others] … those aren’t fabrications,” he warned.

Hoffman — who shares three children with his ex-wife, from whom he had a bitter split — acknowledged that Porter chafes many in political circles, including Democratic Party bigwigs Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff.

“She can’t even get along with Nancy Pelosi,” Hoffman observed.

He also said it was preposterous for Porter to claim her California Senate primary loss to Schiff last March was because he wanted to “rig” the election.

Porter suffered a crushing defeat, finishing a distant third behind Schiff and Republican Steve Garvey.

How pathetic is it that this interview was with an NYC outlet, not the LA Slimes, CF Comical, or the Sacto Bee?! Like HilLIARy, Porter is an unlikeable incorrigible shrew.

Nolte — Disney’s ‘Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere’ Bombs in the U.S.A.

https://www.breitbart.com/entertainment/2025/10/26/nolte-disneys-springsteen-deliver-me-from-nowhere-bombs-in-the-u-s-a/

Quote
As great as I found director Scott Cooper’s Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, nothing about its box office failure is surprising. And it is not only a failure; it is a shocking failure for box office analysts who projected an opening as high as $25 million with a $15 million worst case.

Well, as of this morning, the groomers at the Disney Grooming Syndicate are wishing that worst-case scenario had come about, because Deliver Me from Nowhere is staring into the abyss of a pathetic $9 million weekend debut and a humiliating fourth-place finish.

According to various reports, Nowhere cost $60 million to produce, at least another $50 million to promote, which means Disney will need to gross at least $200 million worldwide just to break even
...
So, what did happen? How did a biopic about Freddie Mercury gross almost $1 billion worldwide? Bob Dylan’s biopic grossed $140 million. Elton John hit $195 million. Springsteen will be lucky to gross half of Dylan’s $140 million worldwide.
...
Bruce Springsteen has not been Bruce Springsteen for a long, long time. A massive part of his fan base was made up of the working class. The men who raced in the streets, worked in the factories, lived on the margins, counted the days till Friday and payday, and kept our world turning with their dirty hands and broken dreams…
...
That guy, that Bruce Springsteen, couldn’t fail. But then he turned on his fans and sold out. As their factories went overseas and a flood of illegal aliens stole their jobs, crushed their wages, and raised their rents, those guys dared to stop voting the way The Boss demanded, so he stabbed them in the back—he declared them fascist and racist because they voted for Donald Trump.

Bruce went full-elitist. He meets Barry Obama for lunch now (the guy who called us bitter clingers), defends his concert tickets selling for thousands of dollars, and entertains only the “correct-thinking” elite on Broadway. And now he sees his own fan base as shit. He’s too good for us, and has made no secret of saying so.

The fans didn’t leave Springsteen. Springsteen left his fans.

I'm not familiar with Springsteen's music and the messages therein. So, I'll just put the problem more simply (not necessarily spot-on correctly). Springsteen has spent years alienating half of his potential audience. Even had I liked his 1970s and 1980s music there is no way I would see a pic honoring someone who has labelled me a fascist, racist, and everything-else-evil-ist.

Whatever their reasons, I think it is good, socially, that movie viewers are giving this pic many more thumbs-downs than thumbs-up.
