Ruby Red town in Northern Michigan...REALLY!

Hale, Michigan is a little literal one stoplight town, at the lonely stoplight there will be a NO KINGS protest this Saturday. This town is so red I wore a new white t-shirt the other day and came home wearing pink….ok, that’s a lie, but you get the idea.

We were going to go into the big city of East Tawas for that protest but decided to make noise and dance in our home town. The protest is at the town gazebo located…guess where…at the stoplight. 12 to 2pm..

We will get together at 10am that morning at the Lutheran church back in the garage to make signs and get stuff together.

It’s going to be an eye opening event. Little red town showing resistance.

I was mildly surprised to learn that the Lutheran church in Hale is LCMS, not ELCA. While ELCA is slavishly uber-Prog, evidently the more Evangelical LCMS has a widespan of political view. Or maybe the LCMS church is an identifiable landmark, while the garage belongs to a neighbor.
