Church vandalized in brazen attack for hosting TPUSA event

A church in Alabama was defaced by vandals days after announcing its decision to host a Turning Point USA event.

The Movement Church of Madison was the target of an attack by an individual or group of vandals who spray-painted the words “Bryan Dawson serves the antichrist” and “Beware his falsehoods” on the exterior of the church building sometime between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, according to authorities.

Dawson serves as president and CEO for a conservative group called 1819 News and was scheduled to speak at a Turning Point USA event that the church is hosting Thursday evening.

Kimmel ratings crater

It’s come to this. From the U.K. Daily Mail,

Outspoken Donald Trump critic Jimmy Kimmel said he would ‘love’ to have the President on his show amid his tumbling ratings.

Of course he would. I’d like to take credit for predicting this, but it was completely obvious to everyone at the time. After the Charlie Kirk bruhaha,

The TV host was reinstated a week later, but has recorded sliding ratings ever since with viewership down more than 70 percent in his first week since his return.

The real test will come when Kimmel’s contract expires next year. Will Disney/ABC renew an unwatched, money-losing show? If his contract is not renewed, will that be spun as violating Kimmel’s “1st amendment right” to a broadcast TV, major network nightly show?

After a week or less, the train-wreck watchers moved on. Kimmel didn't crash and burn, and he wasn't particularly funny.

Abigail Spanberger’s campaign for governor of Virginia took a major hit Wednesday night when she refused—repeatedly—to answer a simple question during the Virginia gubernatorial debate: does she still endorse Jay Jones for attorney general after his violent text messages came to light?

The exchange, moderated by Deanna Allbrittin of WRIC, was terrible for Spanberger as she twisted herself into rhetorical knots to avoid giving a clear answer. Her opponent, Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears, wasted no time pointing out what everyone watching could see—Spanberger was dodging.

Spanberger’s refusal to disavow her endorsement of Jay Jones perfectly captured what’s gone wrong with today’s Democratic Party. Democrats love to talk about “accountability” and “decency,” but when one of their own crosses the line, they close ranks and attack the messenger instead of condemning the message. By dodging the question and refusing to draw a clear moral line, Spanberger exposed a party so obsessed with protecting its power that it can no longer care about right from wrong. Her evasiveness wasn’t just political cowardice—it was a window into a movement that’s lost its moral compass entirely.
