Senate to Trump: Keep Blowing Up Narco-Boats

https://pjmedia.com/sarah-anderson/2025/10/09/senate-to-trump-keep-blowing-up-narco-boats-n4944650

Quote
On Wednesday evening, the United States Senate voted on the War Powers Act resolution sponsored by Sens. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and Tim Kaine (D-Va.). The resolution would have blocked "use of U.S. Armed Forces to engage in hostilities against certain non-state organizations following multiple unauthorized military strikes on unverified alleged drug trafficking operations in the Southern Caribbean Sea."

If that sounds oddly specific, that's because it's a direct response to the fac that the U.S. military has taken out several narco-boats over the last month or so. As Secretary of State Marco Rubio posted on X just before the vote, "This resolution aims to strip President Trump of his constitutional authority to protect Americans by authorizing military strikes against narco-terrorists, the Houthis, and other Iranian proxies. This is dangerous — it puts our children, citizens, soldiers, and allies at risk."

I'm pretty sure Schiff and Kaine knew it wouldn't pass — they just wanted Republicans on record supporting it. They got their wish, for the most part.

The 48-51 vote was largely along party lines. However, Fetterman voted in favor of continuing to allow the president to take out terrorists, while Paul and Sen. Lisa Murkowski voted against it.

The Dems neen to have their, "Get them on the record," strategy turned against them! Why did you support terrorists and narcotics smugglers, Senator __________?!

Louisiana v. Callais: The Case That Could Finally Desegregate American Politics

https://amuseonx.substack.com/p/louisiana-v-callais-the-case-that

Quote
For sixty years, America has lived under a well-intentioned but fundamentally racist assumption: that black voters can only be represented by black politicians and that Hispanic voters can only be represented by Hispanic politicians. This premise, enshrined in Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, has forced states to draw congressional districts according to race, not citizenship, community, or competence. What began as an attempt to expand opportunity devolved into a mandate for racial segregation in politics. It also gave rise to a generation of racial opportunists who used the Act to build personal power by stoking division. Just a few years after the VRA’s passage, figures like Al Sharpton emerged, exploiting the new racial order to inflame grievances and profit from perpetual outrage, proving that the VRA had not healed America’s racial wounds but institutionalized them. On October 15th, when the Supreme Court re-hears Louisiana v. Callais, the justices have a chance to correct this moral and constitutional error.

The idea that race determines representation contradicts the very foundation of American equality. The Constitution’s Equal Protection Clause promises that government will treat all citizens alike, without regard to race. Yet the Voting Rights Act, as interpreted for decades, required states to do the opposite: to treat voters differently depending on the color of their skin. Section 2 forced legislatures to draw so-called “majority-minority” districts, where racial identity, not shared geography, economy, or culture, defined political belonging. The logic was clear but poisonous. If white voters prefer white candidates and black voters prefer black candidates, then the only fair system is one that guarantees each group its own representative. This thinking is racial determinism masquerading as democracy.

IMO, there are quite a few Congress Critter who are black or Hispanic who badly misrepresent blacks and Hispanic. The late SheLiah ... Mad Maxine ... Jas-mean ...

Putin blames Ukraine drone for Russia shooting down passenger jet

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/putin-blames-ukraine-drone-for-russia-shooting-down-passenger-jet/ar-AA1O91cp

Quote
Russian President Vladimir Putin said his country’s air defenses shot down an Azerbaijani passenger jet in December 2024, killing 38 people, because his forces had tracked Ukrainian drones across the border. The Kremlin leader said there were “several causes” of the “tragedy”, and the first was a Ukrainian drone in the sky.

Putin’s comments at a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Thursday were reported by the Russian state news agency TASS. The two were in Tajikistan’s capital, Dushanbe, for a summit of the former Soviet nations.

1. Following the most direct and closest route from the part of unoccupied Ukraine to the nearest border of Azerbaijan is about 1000 miles. The few Ukrainian drones with that kind of range are relatively small.

2. Did Putin admit that Russian SAM systems and operators are so crappy that they cannot distinguish a small, relatively slow, drone from a fairly large jet going several hundred miles an hour? That isn't even slightly plausible, unaided by copious amounts of vodka, at least.

Greta Thunberg Becoming More of a Joke to the Rest of the World Every Day

https://pjmedia.com/rick-moran/2025/10/09/greta-thunberg-becoming-more-of-a-joke-to-the-rest-of-the-world-every-day-n4944655

Quote
Thunberg was recently photographed on an aid ship trying to reach Israel with enough food to feed the Israeli military band, but not quite enough to feed your average Palestinian family.

It's the thought that counts.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), not getting the joke, intercepted her Hamas-controlled "flotilla" before it got to Israel. They arrested Thunberg and her addled compatriots and finally sent them on their way.

But not before our dear Greta received an "owie" from her erstwhile captors.

"Thunberg and other activists alleged mistreatment, including being 'dragged on the ground,' 'forced to kiss the Israeli flag,' and denied sufficient food and water," according to that arbiter of unbiased media fairness, Al Jazeera.
...
But Greta tried. She posted stream-of-consciousness observations on social media, highlighting the suffering of the Palestinians as they struggled to survive.

“The suffering of Palestinian prisoners is not a matter of opinion — it is a fact of cruelty and dehumanization. Humanity cannot be selective. Justice cannot have borders,” the post read. One of the photos accompanying the post showed an emaciated man, naked from the waist up, crouching near a wall.

There was only one teensy weensy, teeny, tiny problem with the post: the photo was of Israeli hostage Evyatar David.

St. Greta's self-beclowning continues ...

Super Bowl Act Nobody Wanted — Bad Bunny — Blatantly Disrespects America During Blue Jays-Yankees Playoff Game: REPORT

Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio (aka racist rapper Bad Bunny) has been named the Super Bowl halftime show performer. When the announcement was made, it was instantly met with backlash from Americans who, quite frankly, have no idea who the hell he is. And the fact that he sings pretty much entirely in Spanish, nobody was vibing with it.

Yeah, people can say what they want about him being an uber-star in countries that speak Spanish, but most of the United States couldn’t give a damn. So, it’s quite confusing why the National Football League, Jay-Z or whoever made this decision. Later on, Bad Bunny went on to host “Saturday Night Live,” straight up telling every viewer out there that they were going to have to learn Spanish in order to understand him during the halftime show.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, this whole Bad Bunny saga just got a lot worse. According to a report from TMZ Sports, Bad Bunny was present during the Major League Baseball postseason game between the Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees. In the seventh inning while “God Bless America” was playing, which is a tradition all across the country, Bad Bunny remained seated. And, boy, oh, boy, this photo is going to make you absolutely livid.

We've been ignoring the Super Bowl halftime shows for 2 or 4 decades, watch as much for the sometimes creative ads as the actual game (especially post-Kaep).

Did You Catch Nancy Pelosi’s Train Wreck Interview on CNN?

https://pjmedia.com/matt-margolis/2025/10/09/did-you-catch-nancy-pelosis-train-wreck-interview-on-cnn-n4944658

Quote
Nancy Pelosi’s appearance on CNN on Wednesday was nothing short of a trainwreck. The former House Speaker sat down with Dana Bash and delivered such a terrible performance that even the CNN anchor had to repeatedly correct her and push back on statements that simply didn’t align with reality. It was the kind of interview that leaves people wondering whether someone is fit to remain in public office, and Pelosi did herself no favors with her rambling, contradictory answers.

One of the most glaring moments came when Pelosi insisted that the continuing resolution (CR) passed by the House was somehow not “clean,” despite the fact that it contained no poison pills or extraneous provisions.

“They are voting yes on, what we say here in Washington, a clean CR, a bill to keep the government running for seven weeks, and Democrats are voting no, and for the reasons you just said. So, how are they shutting down the government?” Bash asked.

"First of all, it isn’t a clean CR,” Pelosi insisted.

“Okay,” Bash said, not convinced.

“So, let’s not stipulate to that.”

“So, right — what’s not clean? What do they have in it?”

Pelosi couldn’t answer and refused to “go into it.” ...

The Dems howling to 25th-Amendment Trump (for the seconds time, BTW) demonstrate their partisan unseriousness by their denial, for four years, of LIEden's unfitness for the office of President and ignoring the incoherence of Pelosiroo.
