Maxwell House changing its name to Maxwell Apartment? You got to be f'ing kidding me.

The coffee brand, owned by Kraft Heinz, will temporarily be renamed "Maxwell Apartment," a move it said it made "to meet the needs of today's consumer."

"In a time where value matters now more than ever, Americans seek value in areas of their everyday, including where they live," Kraft Heinz said in a press release.

Nearly one-third of Americans chose to rent their homes versus purchasing, according to data from the Census Bureau. The median asking rent in the 50 largest U.S. metro areas was just more than $1,700, according to Realtor.com data.

"Two-thirds of American adults drink coffee every day, which can add up quickly, especially these days," said Holly Ramsden, Head of Coffee, North America at Kraft Heinz.

Posted about that in the daily thread, because I stumbled upon the story and couldn't believe it was true. An absolutely stupid idea, not as bad as having a tranny influencer hawk your crappy beer, but still a horrid marketing scheme. They'll change back within a month.

And what about those of us who live in townhouses? I'm not being catered to. I demand Maxwell change the name to Maxwell Townhouse or even Maxwell Condo. And those poor homeless folks...shouldn't there be a Maxwell Cardboard box?

BTW: THIS is my coffee supplier of choice if y'all want to check 'em out. I'm usually buying dark roasted whole beans and grinding them as I need 'em. :coffee:
