After Charlie Kirk was assassinated last week, conservatives noted that most political violence comes from the left. The left bristles at this fact and has responded by dramatically padding the numbers to pretend the reverse is true.

Consider a Sept. 12 piece from The Economist claiming, “extremists on both left and right commit violence, although more incidents appear to come from right-leaning attackers.”

Right up front, the piece admits it used data “largely compiled by researchers whom sceptical (sic) conservatives would probably dismiss as biased.” The disclaimer is meant to inoculate The Economist’s audience to its sloppy reporting, as if challenges from conservatives will somehow prove The Economist’s accuracy.

Michael Loadenthal is a known Antifa supporter. The study of right-wing violence is bogus.

Is that the study the moonbats have been screaming about the DOJ taking off their website?  I've seen a few things that made it sound dubious as well, but haven't had time or willpower to really look into it.

From 2011 through 2024, an average of 20 right-wing terror incidents took place each year, compared to an average of nearly three left-wing incidents annually.

The number of right-wing terror attacks in the U.S. plunged dramatically in the first half of 2025, while the amount of political violence from the left creeped up, a new study found.

The report on terrorism and political violence by the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a bipartisan research group, found that, through July 4, "2025 marks the first time in more than 30 years that left-wing terrorist attacks outnumber those from the violent far right."

The study noted there had been one right-wing terrorist incident this year — the June murder of Minnesota state legislator Melissa Hortman and her husband.



 

The killer was appointed by Tim "Jazz Hands" Walz. Sure his roommate made some allegation that he was MAGA, but that's hardly evidence that he was "right-wing".

If the Hortman murder clears the bar of the Center for Strategic and International Studies for "right-wing terrorism", that bar is subterranean.

The author(s) might as well have opened with “Would you believe us if we said that right-wing violence is much more prevalent than left-wing violence”, to which any sensible person would reply “uhhh, no”.
