This hallucination is just too strange to skip over. Every sentence is a head scratcher.

Could this be an ICE Maneuver?
Today I had to go to the town I used to live in, next town over. It is super-liberal and I think is even the home of the founding of the Million Mom March. Not sure on that, though.
Anyway, as I'm driving along, I see three ICE agents repairing a sidewalk. Yes, indeed, they were in their brown ICE uniforms with trowels paving a fresh patch of concrete sidewalk, trying to get it even. They were almost done. I saw no car, van, or truck that they had tools in or that they were working out of.
Upon looking a little closer, however, they were not ICE agents because they didn't all have masks on. One did. My mind was scrambling to make sense of this and then I realized they were immigrants dressed up like ICE agents.
So I would presume that if ICE came along, it would be dicey to go after them because everyone would get confused? Shooting or tasering might be less likely. The success of this would be highly dependent on how many ICE showed up.
I did check the headlines to see if ICE was coming in groups, and the few that I saw were arrests of 20, 9, etc.
Or is it just coincidence that they were all dressed like ICE?
https://www.democraticunderground.com/100220570416So, your driving through a "super-liberal" town and you see some guys working on a sidewalk and you immediately come up with all sorts of theories about the identities and motives of these individuals.
First question I have is what is an "ICE uniform". ICE officers don't have an official uniform. Or did you see some guys wearing brown shirts and immediately thought Nazis? And, of course, the obvious question, why would ICE officers be out repairing sidewalks?
Second question, how did you know they were almost done? You're driving along and, rather than paying attention to your driving, your inspecting sidewalk repairs from hundreds of yards away? And no work truck? Are these guys like traveling minstrels, but instead of wandering from town to town with their instruments they're carrying trowels and cement patch?
Then she decides they aren't ICE because they aren't wearing masks. I didn't realize the defining characteristic of an ICE agent was that they were wearing a mask. I guess that means that most of the pro-Hamas protesters from last year were actually ICE agents.
But finally, her drug-addled brain realizes these were actually "immigrants". I wonder how she came to that conclusion. Could it be because they looked Hispanic? Isn't it racist to make assumptions about people based solely on their skin color?
Finally, she pulls her whole delusion together with the bizarre assumption that ICE agents would be totally stymied if illegals started dressing in "ICE uniforms". Totally brilliant idea. Buy a brown tee-shirt, write ICE across the chest in magic marker and the Federales will never bother you again.
It's almost like a really strange twist on the old "cop jumped out of the bushes" line. But now it's "illegals dressed as cops jumped out the bushes and repaired a sidewalk".
