My wife's insight

Republicans claim to be the party in favor of small government; yet, want government to control the books you read in the classroom; what decisions you make about your reproduction; what clients your law firm can represent; what students your university can accept; what entertainment you can have at the Kennedy Center; what history the Smithsonian can exhibit; how to police your local neighborhood. When will people realize that their view of small government is to keep the “ little people “ under the thumb of the powerful.

1. Excellent although

they do want the smallest opposition possible - none.
They also want no women or non-whites anywhere near power.

Imagine crying about censorship because people don't want schools to distribute gay porn to children, innocent children killed without due process, race based school admissions.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

Shame on LPC Noob (sock puppet?) rambler68 for blaming his stupidity on his wife!

Republicans claim to be the party in favor of small government; yet, want government to control the books you read in the classroom1.; what decisions you make about your reproduction2.; what clients your law firm can represent3.; what students your university can accept4.; what entertainment you can have at the Kennedy Center5.; what history the Smithsonian can exhibit6.; how to police your local neighborhood.7.

1. So LPC Noob rambler68 would have no problems with primary-graders reading porn-picture books and Neo-Nazi propaganda?

2. Killing unborn babies is not "decisions you make about your reproduction", and no one - contrary to Prog claims - is trying to ban The Pill.

3. Try that line with Hugh Hewitt and other lawyers Progs have tried to disbar for daring to represent and advise President Trump.

4. So, LPC Noob rambler68 favors racial discrimination, so long as those disfavored are whites, east and south Asians, and Jews?

5. The people choosing who could entertain at the Kennedy Center during LIEden's AWOL-Presidency were not Federal bureaucrats? Is LPC Noob rambler68 that stooooopid?

6. The Smithsonian's display about impeachments singled out Donald Trump, a historical inaccuracy. All three or none should be named.

7. A.) DC is under Federal jurisdiction, and Federal law expressly authorizes what Trump did. B.) The mayor of DC and DCPD had not been doing their law enforcement duties, to the hurt of residents and Federal personnel, so Trump did what Dem misleadership would not.
If The Vaccine is deadly as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, millions now living would have died.

Even if I accepted all of these points without condition (I don’t), the Democrats’ desire to control education, intervene in the economy, disarm citizens, expand the court, suppress speech, and regulate just about everything else (except who’s allowed to reside in the country) far exceeds any such overreach by Republicans.

You are moling wrong.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.
