Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard on Friday released what she called “overwhelming evidence” showing former President Barack Obama and his national security team “manufactured and politicized intelligence” after President Donald Trump’s 2016 victory.

The newly declassified file arrives after a bruising, years-long saga over allegations that President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign colluded with Russia to sway the election. Investigators ultimately failed to prove collusion, fueling scrutiny of how the probe was launched and whether federal agencies acted fairly.

The DNI statement said that this “new assessment was based on information that was known by those involved to be manufactured,” referring to the Steele Dossier, which was a privately funded and unverified report alleging Trump-Russia ties.

The Steele Dossier is a fake. Barack Obama masqueraded as an outsider.

Investigating this so any cases are slam-dunk and prosecuting all the whomevers will require a lot of courage from the investigators and prosecutors. Even being successful could be career-ending.

That would not be right, of course, but many bureaucrats not involved in the anti-Trump efforts agreed with it and were frustrated/angry that it did not succeed and some might take revenge against those who exposed and prosecuted the "coup" attempters.

 If those responsible are held accountable and spent some time in the Gray bar motel, I think that might dissuade anyone else from doing this again. You can’t just walk away from this and then expect it not to happen again if there’s no consequences.

As I've said before, although I am glad that things like this are being exposed, I am not satisfied with mere exposure. I want to know what thie administration is going to do to prevent it from happening again.
