In the real world, Trump's "chickening out" on threatened tariffs always happens after other countries "chicken out" on their existing tariffs on US goods.

They are desperately trying to make the TACO meme stick because they believe that it is as clever as the "Let's Go Brandon" meme.  The problem is TACO is some manufactured phrase by some writer with a small audience and "Let's Go Brandon" was the result of a completely spontaneous, organic protest that was seen live by millions and then rewatched by 10's (100's?) of millions.  "Let's Go Brandon" is funny and germane.  TACO is yet another simple insult aimed at Trump.  They don't understand that just calling Trump names isn't going to win them any elections.

Borrowing some, IIRC, from Newt Gingrich, Trump is so "chicken" that he:

* Weathered and overcame in 2015 and 2016 lying claims of racism in his speeches;

* Weathered and overcame in 2016 and 2017 lying claims he was responsible for bomb threats against Jewish community centers, synagogues, and schools;

* Weathered and overcame in 2016-2019 the lying Trump-Russia Collusion Delusion claim;

* Overcame in 2017 the Muslim Exclusion lie;

* Weathered and overcame in 2019 Shampeachment 1.0;

* Weathered and overcame in early 2020 lying Dem claims he was exaggerating Covid and being racist/xenophobic in shutting down China travel;

* Weathered and overcame in 2020 lying Dem and MSM (repetitive and redundant) claims he told people to inject bleach to fight Covid;

* Weathered and overcame in lying Dem and MSM (repetitive and redundant) claims he told people to ingest fish tank cleaner to fight Covid;

* Weathered and overcame in 2021 Dems' unconstitutional Shampeachment 2.0 aimed at preventing his 2024 Presidential run;

* Overcame in 2021 LIEden's claim that he had no plan for distributing Covid vaccines;

* Overcame in 2021-2024 three partisan false prosecutions aimed at preventing or defeating his 2024 Presidential run (this should be 3 line items, but for brevity ...);

* Survived an assassination attempt with another attempt averted in 2024, and went on to win the Presidency.

More could be added from Trump's first term, e.g. the Chicken-Little claims that Trump would get the US nuked by NoKo, but the point is that in the real world, Trump is a very tough character.
